      Starmade Visualization

Emissive maps are stored in half of the normal map alpha, you'll need to go and separate them out to a separate map.

Here's my node setup for t000 within cycles. I've created extra maps to define areas of textures that are glass and emissive. There's actually 2 emissive maps, 1 for dull things (screens, cannon barrels) and one for bright things (lights, crystals)

Ohhh yay a 3d thread! So i started screwing around with the 3d exporter before it was 'offcially' added. I already had my materials/emissives/transparencies sorted out within blender cycles.

      Ungrouping issue

It's actually not necessarily a missing chunk. It appears (from the top, incomplete row of blocks) that you fired the missile before the game had a chance to actually place the blocks being used. Visually they appear to be in place, however it takes time for the computer to catch up. Like on a...

I own a faction but not part of it?

you logged in as a guest - not your actual correct player name - so to the server you are a new player, hence the new spawn and not being a part of the faction you made when you joined the game with the correct name. Not a bug, uplink your account again and make sure you join your SP world with...

      Saber's Thread

tbh stairs are sort of needed, wedges do look out of place in interiors, and what's one to do when your fancy elevator and transporter network is out of order? I'm +1 for stairs, also would be badass for detailing. 3 or 4 steps per block would work - once correct collision meshes for LOD block...

      Fleet orders.

For simulated battles, this already exists and works. Unloaded sector fleet mining is the thing that doesn't work.

Are fully cloaked ships possible? What is your cloaker design?

It's all about balancing power use and power generation. Cloak requires 1450 e/sec per 1 mass. Have fun!

      Universe size

When you leave a sector, after 20 seconds by default it's written to your hard drive and unloaded from memory completely.

      Universe size

Yes the game has a practically unlimited universe - however it only generates/load what it needs (the sectors you're in and adjacent to) If your computer is having trouble running the game, allocate more memory, lower pirate spawn rates, and allocate more CPU threads to segment generation. When...

      HTC Vive support update

rift suppport isn't that great. I can't imagine vive in the pipeline, It's not essential to gameplay, and it'll be a tiny minority of player that will actually use it. however i can see it being added in like 2-3 years time.

      Kupu's thread

Xtremesonicboom You mean like this? If so, check your GPU temps and make sure it isn't running hot, also update your drivers.

      Kupu's thread

Could be related to texture compression - compressing the normal map weirdly.

      Thruster Plumes Overshadow Build Planes

This is caused by transparency being broken, it affects anything transparent being displayed behind other transparent things, sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. It's a known issue.
