Stars kill astronauts even if they are inside a ship core

Metal gets hot when exposed to heat. Your ship is made of metal. There are no heat sink blocks available at this time. I'd be more concerned if the ship took damage without the pilot flat out dying.

Two logic enhancements that could add a lot of possibilties:

Give me XOR gates and variable delay blocks and I'll be happy.

      So about that trailer...

I'd personally have used plexdoor barriers linked to the floor select system to stop the elevator, and area triggers linked to the floor select via an and gate to shut off the push/pull when the elevator arrives.

      Starmade memes

Cubes are pretty realistic, honestly, as long as the thruster is in the middle of the back. Only thing not realistic is that they need access corridors to maintain machinery, but that's a problem that all ships share.

      So about that trailer...

Starmade doesn't move "blocks" It moves individual objects that happen to be made of blocks :P I think the newbies might have a fun time trying to figure out that to make an elevator, they do indeed have to make a cable elevator with working lift and everything xD

A discussion on economy: By the numbers!

Of course. Other games don't have this problem because you don't make your own guns - but they also have things like heat mechanics, power generators built into the weapons, etc.

A discussion on economy: By the numbers!

A lot of games get around the problem of small ships being worthless against capital ships by making large individual weapons inefficient power-wise, and either reducing projectile speeds for superweapons, or making ships much more maneuverable (as in atmospheric flight levels of...
