Players should be able to buy a 'trade' block. In which they can can communicate with those nearby who have a trade block. (four sections- Two for each side's current offer and two for what items they're showing off) Each side should also be able to threaten the opposition into giving up their...
Well, these would make our ships/stations/planets feel more alive. They'd also justify systems like life support or boarding. It'd also be nice to put all suggestions related to npcs in this thread so that there aren't a hundred half baked threads about npcs's ( Fast travel has this problem)...
about a month or two ago things were a lot slower. Sure there were a few threads with dumb titles acompanied by various reposts. Now there are dozens of new threads with dumb titles and unimaginative ideas.
I see threads like 'my ideas for'; as if those ideas being yours make any difference...
I've noticed a lot of people posting the same stuff over and over again. Here's a simple list.
-FTL or Hyperspace.
Either an alternate dimension made for covering longer distances or a system that teleports your ship to the next system or a beacon.
- Better Ai
It's a no brainer. Better...

Simple suggestion realy, the player should be able to use computer cores to modify the apearance of their energy bolts, rockets and thruster exhaust flame. This would vastly help players individualise their ships. Plus it looks seriously cool. The weapons should all use their standard computers...
Players and stations should both have their own crews. These crew members have a variety of functions, though not all crew members should have all functions
- Repair blocks
- Manage systems
- Defeat intruders
- rest/patrol/guard
- do activities. to make the ship feel 'alive' (eat lunch)...
Ships should be filled with invisible blocks of 'air'. This air is replenished with a block and depleated when the hull has been breached and the air has access to a breach.. Apart from a 'realism' purpose this has a few other purposes...
Air inside the ship/station could allow for vehicles to...
Post your ideas concerning offensive and defensive items here.
Å for stuff that should be done during alpha, because they're pretty much vital for the game.
Anyways- Weapons.
Å -two types of aiming: Forward firing and multidirectional. See it this way: the first is the type you'd put on...
Kinda strange that 62762973219784 metre cubed blocks can be held in the hands of an astronaut.
There's not so much of a problem in this. One problem is that it's unrealistic (realism not being the main goal of the game) which isn't great. But also it means that players get ludicrus amounts...
Simple to suggest. Possibly not as simple to achieve.
1: not all the weapons fire straight forward when you tell them to. Rather you select beacons for each weapon computer to attack, (likely with the option to set multiple beacons to target) Think of the way space battles are fought in...
the currenty variety of lights is far too limited. It saddens me that my exterior and interior decoration is so limited in colour and variety.
I'd realy like to see
- pink lights
- orange lights
- purple lights
- cyan lights
(an RGB system would be pretty cool too)
And then in these...
1: half blocks. A block cut in half. half wedges and corners wouldn't be too bad either. these would be both for metal and terrain
2: (very important) plating. This would be around 1/16th of the hieght (like minecraft's snow). a pannel covering for each touching surface,(it might make an L...
Firstly a player should be able to rotate his weaponry. More on this later.
Secondly, a player should be able to put one Computer underneath another computer, or link weapons up to two computers. Perhaps a player might want to use one gun, perhaps the player might want to use every gun...
Ingame you can find abandoned stations. They're nothing more than a mass of resources.
It'd be better if there were 'faction' stations. These would have turrets and strong shields for defense That can't be hard, can it?
One step better: Have these stations spawn ships of the same...
I've come to the conclusion that the most efficient ship design is the one without additional weight/money. Metal blocks are pretty much aweful. Your ship should essentialy be
-core
-enough batteries
-engines
-weapons aranged in a checkerboard patern.
Metal is also worth 125 times the...
Just some simple thoughts....
1: If i were to drive a massive metal ship head first into a desert, the ship should sink some. That sand should move out of the way. Dirt to a lesser extent. Either the sand is deleted or it should move out of the way. Maybe this mechanic could even be...
Antimater cannons, salvage beams and engines look too much alike
Natural terrain textures have too much contrast, as do several other textures such as power blocks
Ice and metal are too shiney
The metal texture is sort of fine... but there aren't enough types of metal textures. some people...
