The ability to dock your ship with an extendable/retractable arm

Come to think of it, there's actually a way to automatize the undocking process as well, if anyone's interested. When you're leaving the station, walk through your USD extension passageway contraption, enter the main ship, and undock the main ship from the docking arm. Move away a little...

The ability to dock your ship with an extendable/retractable arm

A three year old video/project, yet it's still so very-very beautiful and inspiring! (y)

ALIEN TARGET PRACTICE - Kill the wasps before you kill the hive! v1

After some amount of daydreaming-aloud about such a thing in different threads, I finally made it. Allow me to present this alien-style interactive station, fitted with a shield sensor / defense drone launching system! Attack it with larger ships for a fun-enough PvE experience. The station...

The ability to dock your ship with an extendable/retractable arm

I've been wishing to build something like that for a while, but didn't get to it yet. But luckily, Tshara is here to our rescue once again (yes, this particular robotic arm of his is a bit too crazy, but we can make something more reasonable for the simple roleplay purpose that it's meant to...

The ability to dock your ship with an extendable/retractable arm

Docking arms are a must-have when dealing with very large ships... You might want to consider building such docking arms on the station you intend to dock to, but there is a way to have a movable/functional one on ships too. The last time I tested this, it seemed that it is impossible to dock a...

      New Planet Speculation Thread

Good job with the video, and thanks a lot from the part of the community for arranging an interview with Schema (y) Some very interesting past, present and future subjects were brought up in this discussion, indeed... I'm looking forward even more to the Universe Update now (just a tiny bit...

      CYBERSPACE SHIPYARDS

PROGRESS UPDATE POST #34 I told you it will be easy to work with these capsules, thanks to the fact that they're ship entities, not templates... Almost finished with this. This is still NOT the "Hive" station that I daydreamed-aloud about before. It's just an "alien target practice" thing...

Toggle logic using inner remote 3-way switch possible?

Thank you, professor! ;) Also, sorry for drawing the FlipFlop symbol flipped

Toggle logic using inner remote 3-way switch possible?

Notice that the first FlipFlop-Delay pair has to be manually turned on before you can start stepping with consequent pushes of the inner-ship remote. For your needs, 1=Up, 2=Down, 3=Left. (How do you like my hand-drawing-with-a-mouse-in-MS-Paint skills?) ;)

      power

Also, don't forget that when you use the "Blocks" button in the blueprint catalog, it shows you the TOTAL number of any specific block type: the ones on the mother entity, plus the ones in docked entities. If you're dealing with a large ship, it will probably contain a lot old power reactors in...

      PLEASE Rework Missile Capacity

So far, I personally had only minimal interest in StarMade weapon systems, but the missile system feels so irritatingly inelegant that you can't help but complain about it. (Consider my OCD triggered, I guess.) First, you have an actual missile weapon, consisting of computer and module...

      CYBERSPACE SHIPYARDS

I too thought that it should look a little more rigid... It would be easy to add two more of those dark grey rods to the left end right side, but I would prefer if the view from the sides would be obstructed as little as possible. So that those who will stumble upon the station to which such...

      CYBERSPACE SHIPYARDS

PROGRESS UPDATE POST #33 Remember when I said this: The only things remaining unrealized from that very ambitious plan are the green-glowing huge purple station and its shield sensor system. I finally revisited this project and made the capsule for the drone. And just as the drone, the...

      CYBERSPACE SHIPYARDS

PROGRESS UPDATE POST #32 A week ago, after 200 downloads of the original, I uploaded the first update of Quasar E77 - The Mysterious Science Station. It's now as fresh as 2019 and the morning snow, so let me invite you all a second time for some fun: Do you have an explorer's or detective's...

      Sticky Advanced Build

The game seems to have lost that feature sometime last year, most probably unintentionally... At least it vanished for me, I'd say at least six months ago. Some keys and key combos stop working for only some players, depending on their custom key bindings, so maybe it wasn't brought up before...

      The turret thread

I made this "floating sphere" turret recently, as a re-designed version of the original cannon turrets around my Mysterious Science Station. If you want a copy of it, download the station and blueprint the turret (see my businessman skills there?) It was very loosely based on those wicked...

      Interior porn

The interior shots shown below were all taken inside a fancy station of mine, that you can check out here: Mysterious Science Station. As you can see, with the exception of the first one, these compartments have crazy levels of detail. There's a secret to this... When you're bored and...

      CYBERSPACE SHIPYARDS

Good idea! - I will do it like that then, and perhaps even make those rails actually functional (so that when players will be using those shipyards to build smaller ships, they could bring in the machinery for the extra industrial feel of it) :)
