Transporters: no transport on same entity

A cool down would make total sense, or even make you use a faction-permission module for faction only use, therefore, boarders can torch it. Even if you only use teleporters to move around the ship, torching one computer can isolate the core, rendering the ship useless, unless the owner has a...

Transporters: no transport on same entity

True. Guard it with faction permission doors. Torch through them. Man, the torch is powerful.

Transporters: no transport on same entity

Once upon a time I built a ship. Then I put a faction module on so you can't steal it.

Transporters: no transport on same entity

Hostile astronauts should in no way be able to use your transporters, unless they are set to public, that would ruin the point of the faction permission feature.

      Transporter Talk

The problem is that they drop the whole way, not just part. This make transporters useless on ships, and only useful on stations if they are at no risk of being attacked.

      Transporter psychosis

I agree. The system seems fine right now, because, chances are most people will continue building ships with normal interiors, not instantly change to faction-only teleporters.

Transporters: no transport on same entity

All you'd have to do In a door-free interior is torch through the wall of one room, and you've opened the systems.

      Hide/Unhide Connections

Yea, but this would make it easier.

      Hide/Unhide Connections

Me too, but if I need something connected to something on the other side of my ship, I don't want a huge wire running through my interior. I use them for both. if they implement the option, I'd want them to be left visible in build mode, so I can still see if I need to rewire them.

      Recognized Player Quarters

Or a player permission module, though it could be done by just add a limit to certain members option on the faction permission module.

      Hide/Unhide Connections

While, I don't think they should be removed, it does get annoying in the factories. Maybe hide/unhide on factories. Giving this option to all logic, would nearly eliminate the need for wireless logic blocks. Then again, if you don't need them they can be removed, or replaced with ship to ship...

Transporters: no transport on same entity

Not at all. Boarding is totally legitimate, but I should be to have teleporters around my ship, even if I replace all walking from room to room with it.

      Recognized Player Quarters

I really like this idea. Maybe even be able to set only certain members of your faction open certain doors, or use certain blocks. (I.E. activate certain logic blocks.)

Transporters: no transport on same entity

Schema, take a note. Joking aside, this is the right solution. If I want my pvp server boarder friendly, I could do that. If I want to protect my work from boarders, I could do that. Not to mention, who wants to walk 100m across a ship to get to my core.

Sensors as an effect instead of a system

Yea, then you could have the effect give you information about the object scanned, and the scanner tool just reveal it.

Transporters: no transport on same entity

I see what you mean. In order to make them useless to boarders, just make them faction members only. They should remain able to be used on the same entity, and there's a way already to stop boarders from using them.

Sensors as an effect instead of a system

If they required open space, they'd be too easy to hit, therefore, scanners would be nearly useless once shields were down. In order for them to be useful, you'd have to have a shield tank. I do like he idea for sensors as an effect, but I also, like scanners how they are, so maybe this as a...

tiny suggestions that don't justify a thread

Yea, something like that would work in my opinion. Would we be able to mark them as faction home bases? The could be abused, but it would be good to have if I don't want a stationary base.

tiny suggestions that don't justify a thread

Glad I noticed this before making a thread. :) I thought for my first post on the forum, I'd make a suggestion. I think mobile bases should be possible. By this I mean, a ship that can do all of the basic survival stuff you need. I was building a ship, hoping to make it my base, but couldn't...
