That's a good idea. Display module variables need a lot more options.
Your thread title though made me think of being able to use activation blocks to change display module text similar to how they are used to change rail blocks; slave a display to an activation block and place a display with...
Many thanks, I have been tinkering with this since rails came out. I did start a gen-1 Optimus rails skeleton a while back but lost interest in it. At this point the only likely next candidate would be Jetfire/Skyfire as I am done with rail mechanics for a bit.

Why you want to joint the server- See some stuff, show some stuff
Example of your work-
Your favorite type of cake- Money cake ($0.25-$2 coins in wax paper baked 'randomly' in cake)
I've found that the power capacity of the core is not counted by turreted weapons when doing similar AMS testing. I had to either add power to the AMS base or barrel or add capacitor blocks to the main entity which was a core and some power recharger blocks.
Built through the core of an r50 planet from each plate to re-make the plates from hull on the opposite side of the core giving an internal volume with 'natural' gravity. Encompassed the whole atmosphere which produced the lighting inside. StarMade did not like.
I think the plates were only...
Yes, but I now see that I need to spell it out to you;
You are critical about other peoples' posting style in the very same thread as you refuse to take any criticism about your own posting style. That's all.
I'll also throw out there that one style is useless and wastes bandwidth (typically...
Giving up, resorting to insults,
Condescending attitude;
Two surer signs of winning an internet argument I have never seen.
Lack of immediate forum support is less important here then lack of immediate dismissal or in fact any thought out criticism at all IMO.
Original talking point;
1) Ideas proffered re; base PVP compromise where no work is destroyed whether asleep or not. Caveat; some resources loss. No specific numbers given. Indicate desire for fun for all.
2) Specify no current desire to attack players.
I now think that you need to...
We're all aware of how the game works. I was referring to your using,
as an argument in a debate. the definition of scare tactic
Your idea is, "same old invulnerability with only docked entities invulnerability based on e/sec." Docked reactors on stations become required meta. Soooo, more...
Dr. Whammy scare tactics are weak.
I did read your suggestion, tldr; NPC-placed bounties was my understanding. Your homebase idea would add complication and lag without content IMO.
I'll reach further into the shedder with;
Homebases are vulnerable, block damage occurs, timed takeover...
Re-balancing homebase protection does not have to equal "free griefing.' No-one is suggesting simply dumping HBP in the current system (at least I don't think so) but that seems to be what people resisting change argue about.
Will one-man factions even be a thing of the game's future? I would...
Use HP system to defeat a homebase without causing it any block damage making it vulnerable and shutting down its turrets' AI. Player character or hired crew must be used to take-over and occupy foreign homebase. While homebase is occupied occupational forces can try to collect the resources...
