      I don't know crap for PVP since the Titansphere so I find this thread quite helpful as well. I've been making much larger turrets; 14k weapon blocks on a 43 block diameter base and the medium at 7900 weapon blocks on a 37 block diameter base.

      I don't like this idea because it doesn't fit with the theme of building with blocks. That's what makes the game challenging, you have to fit in the blocks you want/need for function while making it look ok (admittedly I have customized Lego pieces).       I would prefer the power outage condition and associated recharge initialization delay to remain for now at least (AI could learn to back off them hammers when there's no power left I guess). Without this restriction it's too simple to chain-dock a machine-gun waffle turret of limitless size on...

      I prefer the turret to not draw significant (if any) power from the main ships since managing the AI's power usage effectively is unpleasant.
