Hmm... I guess I better get to work on my gigantic Miku Hatsune statue which will also be a turret (with cannons in her eyes, a beam weapon in her outstretched hand, and missile launchers in her upper chest)...
*sigh* if only I could add working tentacles to my station so they can grab and crush any pesky pirates that show up to ruin my day. But I guess I'll just have to settle for swarmer turrets instead...
I checked out how power cubes are built and they're not what I had in mind. Mine are more...
I think I'll experiment with making "power cubes". Reactors in their preferred formation surrounded by capacitors. Should make for an interesting power core station section...
So what you guys are saying is that when I install that graphics card into my system I should expect to be amazed... Since the card is VR ready I wonder how Starmade would look through those headsets...
At the moment I'm running an R7 240 (the Gigabyte 2GB Overclock version). When planets load up in my game my frame rates slows to a crawl... and sometimes it's in SPF (Seconds per Frame instead of FPS (Frames per Second). Not related to Starmade I went and ordered the MSI RX 480 (4 gigabyte...
I better watch this thread. I'm still new at this and I still don't know what to put in my station. Except maybe a power section... shaped like an apple core...
Interdiction Torpedoes? Or maybe trap him by having a few newbies nearby to attract his attention. And perhaps some of their ships will have hidden interdiction modules on them. While he's busy with them, you can launch the drones at him.
But those are all pirate stations! I'm looking for derelict ships or stations, long abandoned by their inhabitants. The stations which only have scraps as salvage and that you don't have to fight to explore them.
It's really hard to pinpoint a ship class over time. Those things change. For instance, in its time the U.S.S. Enterprise was classed as a heavy cruiser back in its day. In this day and age it's more a light cruiser compared to the more recent Enterprise F (from Star Trek Online).
I like exploring the things. All of them have a creepy vibe to them. Too bad I never get to find out what happened to their crews. Maybe logbooks that could be read without picking them up would help? Or terminals in personal living quarters detailing the lives of the crew? I dunno. It's...
As for this post, what crazy ideas do YOU people have? Doesn't have to be anything related to any culture, just stuff you'd like to build one day if not already.
And I wonder how this would work? The Miku statue would be a gigantic turret, with the head housing cannons in its eyes, the arm...
I was playing Galaxy on Fire 2 and came up with this idea while doing some space mining. How about high grade asteroids? These asteroids would be extremely rare where they occur, and they would have cores in them. The blocks these things are made of should be incredibly hard to mine. I...
Went out exploring and found a derelict station that appears to be a medical facility. I would love to create a station such as this. :)
And I'm kinda happy that there's no virus infected zombies inside...
-edit- I'd use spoilers, but Photobucket seems to be down for now...
Is there any way to move your faction block without losing your claim to the system? Let's say... once I've built a much better place for it (such as the station hub where all the power reactors and capacitors will be located)?
At least I have factories and storage down (though that's all...
