Use the selective Remove function keptick mentioned, it makes refits *much* easier. I was like you at first, but once I learned the different weapons combo's, I realized the change is definitely worth it.

I've been thinking about this myself, as I intend to expand my sector sizes when I do my next universe reset on my server. I've decided on 2500 for my server. It seems to be a good balance (to me) between lots of space, and not taking forever to get somewhere under normal thrust.

Added some logic for Running and navigation lights. and also GQ/Red alert switch. Made a lot of improvements to the aft section of the ship, especially in the engineering section.

Looks like you and I have similar ideas about what a ships basic hull would look like :). Think I need to hire you to add eye candy to my exterior though.
