It should be the activation module going inactive, I don't think it's added in yet though. I haven't been around too much to follow up on getting that added in but that method would make the most sense.

It won't be called Jedi, but with logic constantly expanding it makes sense to add a badge for people gifted in it so you know who would be someone good to talk to about it if you get stuck with logic.

Tab+3 and Tab+4 will change the orientation of the block you're facing if it can be orientated

It is possible with the rail rotator block and activation module to get a continuously spinning 360 block.

Shield sharing is definitely something that will need to be supported as ships utilizing rails become more modular due to the way they would then be built. Turrets will be addressed separately.
