IMMERSION INTENSIFIES How do you guys feel about making the build site vulnerable to attack while under construction? You know; attack the Death Star before it's operational... ;) Edit: via server setting so that new players don't get hammered.

      Ship Dealers

Being (primarily) a planetary base and "space station" designer, I definitely support this. Schine never specified how stations/planetary bases would be handled when blueprints go bye-bye so we need an alternative. Here's what popped into my head. Option 1 (what I currently do): Show up at...

I don't think it's quite that complex an issue. If you block a buyer from being able to make a copy of the blueprint, they will have to either manually copy/paste it or wait until you release it on CC or give them the full blueprint. No one here has suggested preventing repairs or...

      Ship Dealers

+1. The bottom line is vendors need a way to sell the same ship more than once. Otherwise; there is no incentive to be a ship vendor. An optional "no copy" flagging system governed by server settings is all it takes to create a working vendor system. DRM is an unnecessarily heavy handed...

      Ship Dealers

Show of hands. How many of you would be willing to give another player a design when asked or post it on community content AFTER you've made your in-game profit and newer ships made by others have come out? 1st vote: I would and I have.

      Ship Dealers

happahappa. DRM is not required in this idea. For this proposal, the game itself would flag a sold ship to disable design/blueprint creation. Also, what company do you know that stays in business by selling ideas (rather than actual products) to other companies? How feasible is that in an...

Why the hell is this NOT a thing!? I've been asking for this to be implemented for nearly 3 years. Glad to see that others still feel the same way. Over all, the minimum requirements for this system should be... - Seller can select a docked entity set it to "for sale" and set a price for it...

ACCESS DENIED! Gates, Hatch, Doors Porn

Finally got around to some animation of my own. Logic animated hangar door: Minimal rail usage to reduce lag. GIF animation speed increased to 200% to reduce file size.

      Turrett AI

I read you loud and clear. Just being Captain Obvious. ...for obvious reasons. Schema says AI is part of "phase 2" and that he expects Phase 2 to be nearly done in the middle of the year. Hopefully they don't put that on the back burner.

      So... you want lag?

      Turrett AI

Prioritization would be a nice addition bit let's not put the cart before the horse. What I mean by this is; I'd be happy if they'd just get turrets to work properly in the first place. AI set to "any" does not take into consideration "line of sight". AI turrets waste firepower by trying...

      Turret Help

With regard to the reactor-specific chambers; they will not effect turrets since turrets do not get their own power while docked. Any power boost bonus will be applicable only to the parent entity. With that having been said, the benefits of certain chamber effects are passed down to all...

      Turret Help

I've only tested the base so far. On my carrier, all the fighters and drop-ships I've dockedseem to retain their shields. I'll double check/test further when I get back tomorrow.

      Turret Help

Under the current mechanic. - Docked entities can generate their own shields. They do not shut down like reactors. - The parent entity is the source of power; as docked entities' reactors will be inactive. - as such, the parent entity must generate enough energy to power the shields of your...

Petition for Auto-Chargin Systems as DEFAULT

I think I found the cause. ...Fleets. Apparently, when you add a ship to a fleet, it automatically charges the jump drive; regardless of whether or not you are piloting it. Also, last time I checked, fleet units don't jump. Can I get a Whisky, Tango and a Foxtrot?

Petition for Auto-Chargin Systems as DEFAULT

Thanks for replying, I've tried repeatedly but unfortunately, there's no prompt/option to click on it. I can right click to jump normally but there's no left click option at all. I've moved the jump drive into and out of the hotbar, then back again but still got the same result. From what...

      PLEASE Rework Missile Capacity

      1) The "Inertia bomb" already penetrates shields; it's time to get creative on how to use it. Regular missiles are for killing system blocks; not for defeating shields. If you need a way around shields, try a cannon. Need to cut through heavy armor? ...Use a laser. Each weapon has its own...

      PLEASE Rework Missile Capacity

Another thing about bombs... If I have to wait 3 seconds for the the bomb to "arm", then WHY is the range so damn low for a 1:1 M/M Bomb?
