While I do agree that there are too many "knobs and buttons" on some features, I must admit that your response suggests that you are only looking at this situation from a competititve/PVP point of view.
Regardless of anyone's preferred playstyle, the fact remains that the "rebalancing" process...
Here's wishing you a hearty welcome back and congratulations on a new chapter of your career.
I hope your family is staying strong in these rough times.
Are you saying you don't want actual game content?
You know; something else to do besides...
- Mine (with broken mining bonuses)
- Build (with quickfire's broken blockspam system)
- Spawn a blueprint (in the middle of nowhere, with no nearby base or shipyard)
- PVP (with broken weapons)
-...
Severely needed.
Tax rates are a much easier way to pull this off. Higher rates will give you more credits but make your population less happy. Lower rates grant less credits but keep them happy. There should also be a wider use for credits in general; as right now, only NPC shops have a...
Ahh, the good old days; when the world was flat and Starm-Ade was a lot simpler.
A few thoughts...
1) That ship looks to be pre-rails. There is a good chance that most of its blocks are considered legacy and thus, unusable. Major refits abound.
2) Provided the ship takes a while to...
No. Vanilla penalizes you for having stabilizers too close. I have several builds where I have 2-3x more stabilizers than power blocks, just to maintain 100% stability. QF eliminates stability restrictions altogether. Now one can fill their ship completely with 50% reactors and 50%...
Given the current config, I can agree with this somewhat.
Reason: The QF speed and rotation curve has made large craft less able to avoid bombs, draw a bead on agile opponents and intercept distant enemies. Strategy and AI fleets will no doubt, be used to counter (and exploit) this weakness...
One of the key things that has plagued this game for years is a severe lack of content.
Schine has repeatedly chosen to rewrite basic fundamentals of the game rather than expand on what we already had. If some kind of content was introduced into StarMade besides mining asteroids and shooting...
I'm still here. I must admit; this place is a ghost town. ...Especially now.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to keep on building. The new QF weapons are actually rather interesting once you know how they work.
Feedback/Request.
1) Please turn NPC faction spawning off in new server.cfg files by default. All they do is clog up the galaxy and get in the way of everything. It's kind of annoying (infuriating) to have to hunt in the config file to manually turn these guys off for every update...
When it comes to quickfire, 3 words should always come to mind; "Subject To Change"
My advice; If you want to use quickfire and not lose your mind, don't invest in "fleet-wide" refits or you'll just end up RE-refitting it all when they change their minds on something and break all your...
Missile/Missile (Bomb) things to know:
- Unguided: You need to point directly at the target. There is no gimbal, aim assist or anything like that to help you.
- No propulsion. The projectile relies entirely on the inertia generated by your ship's movement in order to move. Effective use...
So it's true then; AI does use line of sight now. That explains what I've been seeing lately.
Regarding "conditional" weapons; Are you referring to "retaliatory" turrets, connected to a sensor that detects when your shields fall below a certain percentage?
If so, I'd be interested in hearing...
It's logic operated. AI would fire as soon as the main missile detaches and potentially damage the launching ship. ...especially now that the arming time is 1.5 seconds.
It's a shame they got rid of push effect. THAT would have been a game fun to play with.
Wow. In before I could even post...
Damn dude,
Are you guys secretly planning your anti-drone strategies against me specifically?
Keptick Heeeeeaaalp!!! :ROFLMAO:
Also, it's just 2 shots now. I've been upgrading. ;)
At 150 meters, (and I'm guessing 20k-30k mass when finished) you may want to consider the following.
1) Even with the recent mass reduction of armor in QF, the thickness of armor you're considering is going to drop your speed and turn rate by a substantial amount. I found 15k mass intolerably...
It is. ;)
In order to be able to "Nuke" your enemies, one must first design and build a nuke. If you do it right, you can stack one explosion after another and "drill" your way through a stationary target.
Just don't let the U.N. or the U.E.G. find out what you're doing...
Edit: You can...
