      Surely the sun damage should scale by distance, rabidbat was on the edge of the suns range and his pothole ship didnt fair to well, if it was aiming directly into the sun i wouldnt be worrying about getting it out with pull beams! Its gone haha

      Larger internal space to heat up and dissipate the heat. Explodey should be saved for meteors, i believe it was skylord luke that suggested hull melting, which would be alot more realistic. As for the hostility of this thread, arent all topics like this? Doesnt help when sarcasm jumps in...

      have it visually the same except that it only absorbs damage from 2 types of weapons, so to be able to absorb energy based weapons like beams and pulses you will need the current shields, to absorb physical you will need forcefield, cannon/missile

      Add a 3rd percentage bar on the right and call it heat, each block can absorb a certain amount of sun damage till that heat bar fills, once your ship has reached 100% then chaos can happen. Or introduce the fix when you introduce the problem, its like adding shield absorbers into a game and...

      Signature idea is good, id add another option so you can display to faction only. Having a 3rd name may be to much though for starmade. License not so much, it was talked about before. It limits players building, restricts players to classes which is what the devs have said they never wanted to do

      Well the devs gave some hints as to whats coming, is it worth at times like that to create a post in suggestions to get players to expand on them? Just trying to come up with ways to get the player base off planets/ammo/fuel topics haha

      I think what you guys need is a upgraded texture pack! I feel the same way with standard armor, no real point of using it once you have enough advanced to go around. But when directional thrust gets added and weight plays a greater part on speed, we may then see players opting for some...

      In the end its their game, their choices. Doesnt hurt to see what others come up with, and as for something that gets released but is different to how they discribed it, it is difficult to please 100% of the player base. Im just hoping they dont forget the masses who arent on here

      Are council able to forward ideas from the dev team, for instance get the guys here in suggestions expanding ideas on the captains chair, as this can aid in development of whats to come instead of just what we have.
