I like the idea, my server currently plays at a higher block count for ships than most servers, this would enable abit more RP with floating derilects to be scrapped laying around. Only problem is that its more stuff for the server to remember and players will have to clean up pirate/npc waves...

The sensor cloud and my idea above is a waste of blocks vs ships that are going to straight out shoot at your ship, the blocks would be better suited to shields/armor

How does this stop players from having huge frontal damage when they will just add the needed damage to turrets with greater visual ranges?
If your in a smaller ship, why are you flying infront of larger ships? Shouldnt you be focusing on...
Dont you guys see how bad that part of the game currently is? Look at the extreme ideas that are needed just to deter griefers.

Automated scanners - much needed for outposts, cant really be exploited as its a power cost to keep it always charging
warheads need to be changed to do damage when a shield is down to stop exploiting, maybe to balance it out warheads add a 1min cooldown to shield regen charge

i am not proposing the removal of homebase protection, the removal of homebase protection is a dumb idea even though it is an option in the config file.
i am trying to find additional ways for enticing players to build other stations/warpgates other than their homebase without limiting...
Looking for ideas to give more incentive to building outside of homebase protection, 1 idea is changing the stat values of blocks so stations would have a higher shield/power rating vs a ship of the same size.
This would give stations a feeling of worth/fear as they are current just non moving...
Has any server managed to convince players to build any outposts/warpgates that dont have homebase protection?
We currently have a small amount, maybe a gate between 2 systems but no faction has branched out to making outposts/gun platforms or huge warpgate networks.

It is mainly used to pull ships away to safety so you can then board the ship without having to worry about the other ships, ive seen it done at players homebases aswell...
Another "bug" is the ability to charge jumpdrives faster through logic, i thought you guys disliked the chaindrive idea...
We had to remove all dockers and rails from NPC ships as players were making tiny cloaking sticks and docking onto them and flying away with a free ship
