I'm not sure I have a problem with shipyards on ships. Although I would much rather be able to process raw materials on a mining ship if I had to make a choice. I do think however that both shipyard parts and factory parts should have a very high mass and little to no hit points. These systems...
This could also lead to bounties being placed on other NPC factions for reward. Trade guild vs pirate or what ever other factions the devs come up with. This would open up many possibilities for going in depth to faction/race stories etc.
Sorry for my foolish opinion. I wasn't aware of the mechanic that stops the plumes. I still think they should be a mod rather than the default.
And having worked software development for over 15 years polishing now would be unwise. The possibility of spending time polishing something now that...
I don't think I like those. Leave them as a mod. What would it look like if your thrusters were all internal and you used something else to represent your engines?
Another nice thing about having grid based logic is it would be possible to add other logic blocks with out increasing the total blocks used. It would be possible for some blocks to only be in the "grid" XOR or XNOR blocks would be nice.
It would be nice the see whats planned in the next release as well as the over all road map. Would it be possible to get some insight on whats currently being worked on for the next release?
Perhaps instead of warping the blocks to subspace they could warp them to an attached storage device. These could be countered with the jump inhibitors. Probably still a "little" overpowered, but it would be wicked cool.
Oh, I think I see what you're saying using a combination of area triggers and step triggers would make it possible to determine if a player is in gravity. Good thinking. Thanks
Right, sorry I wrote the OP on the way out the door from work.
I was thinking for instance a way of checking if a player is already in the gravity of an object before applying gravity to them. For example on my base all of the entrances have automatic gravity but when I log out and back in...
Could we have Tribbles? I can see them acting like gremlins and making systems not work properly. This could be fun. "OH Crap! Shields are down! YOU FORGOT TO SPRAY FOR TRIBBLES!"
