The orbits would not be elliptical, they would be perfectly circular., and there would be a minimum distance between planets. The orbits would be like KSP does them, not accounting for mass to figure out the orbital speed. All orbits the same distance away from the same object travel at the same...
Hey, maybe death cubes are a good thing (said no one ever)! It should be that hulls act like other blocks, with increase to HP though. And after a certain size of hull blocks touching each other, you would need to switch the type of hull, or crystal, or lights, or make it indented or engraved to...
Not remove. Change. Also, the segment load distance is what loads far away objects, and I agree with the fact that sectors are a reference plane. I was just throwing ideas out there, no need to sound so angry. I have been around this game a long time, although with some breaks, and I'm pretty...
The planets could have oceans, but I think they would need to be more spherical-ish to have that work, and they would also need to be bigger. I mean, if you cant have something of a reasonable size, what is the point?
I think it would be easier to get rid of the sector system entire.y if this was implemented. Only after a certain point can fixing it become more of a hassle than redesigning it, and this is that point. one solar system would be in its own sector, with all planets in orbit. The FTL warps would...
I don't use hull, because all of my ships are under 1000 mass and cloaked/jammed whith 100% overdrive at top speed while charging jump drive, so having that extra mass is detrimental in my case. To give you an idea, that is about 1.5 million e/s for just cloaking and jamming.
How about this, have you considered the armor percentage stat? It basically negates a percent of damage from the shot fired. Basic armor is just another block to break through; it has no armor percent. Standard has 25%, which means a 100 DMG shot only does 75 DMG. Advanced has 50%. I think they...
Did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in again? Seriously, delete it and re download it unless you have already, then move it to another folder. I have mine on my desktop and it works fine.
Fly around? I don't think I understand. Either way, you know the docking beam? It's what's usually at the far right on your hotbar when piloting a ship. You use that like a beam on a docking port of adequate size to dock. There is a special red docking port for turrets. Then you need an AI...
I like thinking of them as a massive resource hole currently. Some planets, some just have some really cool terrain, and those are the ones worth building on.
I agree with the resource, and the distance was up for debate. The concentric rings was my idea, i just don't think you understood it. But with the resource, maybe have different star types? Like some stars would be HUGE, like the size of current sectors, and they had more metals. and a bright...
I think you should be able to link at least 2 effects, but at half the power. Some just seem like they would work well together, instead of just being a choice between them. OR maybe a rank 2 CPU that can have 2 supports and 2 effects, and supports and effects stack. Same with rank 3, with an...
Amazing analogy, THIS SHOULD BE A THING! Though, maybe there could be different types of shields, like ones that just do hull, or systems, or everything, to make it like a second chance, or just having different shield systems would be cool.
They would technically be moving objects, but they are on fixed orbits and nothing can change them, besides maybe some admin command. It wouldn't be like ships flying in circles with collisions every 10 seconds.
Half of the point is asthetics, the other side is to make them bigger, and yes i know about the config. I agree the gravity changes are wierd, but that is currently a priority for the devs, if I am not mistaken.
First off, I didn't say realistic sized, i said more realisticLY sized. just making them bigger is all. Secondly, the current sector system would be replaced with a new one, and it would probably be something like the star name that you could type in in the navigation system, then the planet...
