      Reason for having an interior

Ok, lets have a situation. I have 10,000 assorted blocks for a ship. Do I build a long, traditional battle cruiser, which turns slower and can be more easily taken out in a fight, or a cube, which is more efficient in most ways and can turn much faster?

      Dyson Spheres..

I believe the point of the star thing in SG:U was to harvest hydrogen to fuel the ship.

      Reason for having an interior

What if NPCs have a minimum size, like what you have there, but work at increasing efficiency when you give them larger and more extravagant, well furnished rooms, because they are happier?

      Reason for having an interior

No, the problem is that they take less time to build, turn faster, and are overall more efficient in every way over a skillfully built capital ship. Making the items to build them harder to get will probably end up with just more cube ships, because you'll try to make your ships as resource...

having that access card for anything

Bumping because I was going to make a post about this. I think it should be like the log books, and that you can enter text into it. That text is the "code" on that card, and you can only open locked doors if you have the respective code on a card in your inventory.

      Reason for having an interior

I am on a crusade against things that are unbalanced. Cube ships are unbalanced. I have no idea what you are trying to say there. Of course I'm going to try to make them less OP. Overpowered things are bad for games. I don't think they should be nerfed to useless levels. I just think that...

      Reason for having an interior

No, the way ships currently work limit players. The only way you can play competitively is by building Death Cubes. Cost is never, ever an excuse for lack of balance. It's the same reason all those suggestions Minecraft players make for a god sword made from 6 diamond blocks and a stack of...

      Reason for having an interior

My entire campaign for the game summed up in one sentence.

      Oh, awesome. Pictures, please?

      Reason for having an interior

English isn't his native language, so how about you stop being a huge donkey pit, first of all. You are the one who first started arguing about the heating idea here. Maybe you shouldn't have made a rude and snide comment about it if you didn't want to talk about it. Actually, there is quite...

      More Colored Hulls

Bumping because I WAS going to make a thread on this but found one. I think we need orange, pink, cyan, and light and dark grey.

      Reason for having an interior

If RA ships are built on a 1:1 scale, then they should already have interiors, should they not?

      Reason for having an interior

Only larger ships would need crew to get a bonus of crew to be noticeable. Unless you don't mean fighters and lighter ships, in which case, just cut out some hallways through your blocks of shields to house some rooms.

      RP Room Ideas

I have a small indoor park built on one of my civilian ships.

Is it possible to modify the game's mass/turn ratio?

Well, your first problem is that you are setting negative values, which means that larger ships will spin faster than small ones.

      Poll for FTL travel

That isn't the type of borg cube I'm arguing against, and I'm sure you're aware of that. That cube has an expansive interior and a well made exterior. I'm arguing against the solid cubes with flat faces and a 2x2 corridor to the core.

      Poll for FTL travel

I was saying that nothing would instantly explode on log in. The only things exploding instantly would be death cubes, anyhow.

      Poll for FTL travel

It's an alpha. Everything is subject to change. Anyway, are you not understanding the heat system he's suggesting? You'd have to use them for the things to build up heat and explode, for one.

      Poll for FTL travel

But then you can't do an emergency jump away from battle, if it takes time to charge, and you can't even use your weapons while it does so. I would much rather prefer a cool down as opposed to a charge up. With a cool down, you can play tactically, by laying in wait near a frequent FTL drop out...

      Poll for FTL travel

Oh, and what would you like the cooldown system for FTL to be? Because for FTL to be balanced, it either needs to have A) charge up time B) cool down time Adding a heat system allows for smarter designing of builds, and makes death cubes obsolete, which I'm sure everyone except the annoying...
