While the new patch makes loading significantly better, I still have this issue. I even flew around in half a ship for a while and it didn\'t render until I logged out and back in again without the additional load of my home sector.
Mostly I just wing it, I\'ve only built one ship so far with an actual pre-designed layout and I only used the internal structure. I build ships from the inside out with a heavy emphasis on internal accommodations, I like my ships to feel like they could be real on the inside.

Yeah I too prefer the domed turret look. Most docking ports can be expanded easily to accept the old three shooters or you can also cut one block from each barrel and it will fit on a single docking mount. The Ensemble refit I did keeps all but 4 of it\'s original guns

Without to much effort I can make my UCS refit of the Ensemble available for download in the meantime while you perform a full overhaul, I just have to add a full compliment of rear-core Tremelos and fix the cuts I made into the hull.
They repair fine with astrotech and I don\'t have any trouble aquiring them myself. They do suck for repairs on the go though but if you have time to repair yourship mid fight you probably do not need repairs all that badly.
Whenever I launch my game and load up my server the station and ships near me refuse to load. A few chunks will pop in and then nothing. The server isn't chugging or throwing out error messages and it doesn't mater how long I wait the missing chunks will not load. To fix this I fly 5k away...
