      The new Aethi corvette, the Arveth(Paladin)-class, is currently in field testing on the test server. It will (hopefully) become available to Aethi pilots within the next two weeks. (And yes, this is a front view. That dish is a weapons array, not a main thruster.)

      At this point, nothing more; the team is going forward and there's no reasonably changing that; I won't be so irrational and selfish(?) as to try. But I'd be sad to see something like this come up again.

      I don't think that the game in its current state (With non-renewable asteroids and all planets getting ripped to pieces) is the game you're trying to make either, judging from most of the plans I've heard of. Not a very good argument.

      No nerfing of power; if there are three things in this game you should NEVER nerf beyond their current state it's thrusters, power, and missiles. There is no problem if one-shot ships technically exist as long as they are not commonplace.

      My problem is that a speed boost doesn't really fit with everything else. For all the other weapons, the x/Jump Drive combo provides a boost comparable to at least some attributes of the Missile, Beam, and Pulse secondaries combined, in return for the added time and power to charge the weapon...

      I think the problem is that the range of speeds allowed for by Starmade's engine isn't sufficient for the existing advantages fighters have to show through. (Also, engines are a little too weak across the board.)

      Yeah... At this stage in the game I'd rather let people have infinite resources than this. This just kills the game. It wasn't worthless on servers that boosted the resource multiplier.

      Cool, but not what secondary systems are for; they aren't supposed to do different things with different primary systems, but rather affect their projectiles in a semi-consistent manner. Given how Schine's done things so far, what you describe here would actually be different effects. Corrosive...

      Yeah, I'm kinda neutral to the jump inhibitor-as-an-effect thing, but I could see uses if it was implemented. I'm just not entirely convinced that it would be a good idea. As Lecic said, jump inhibitors being non-targeted is a great way to balance them out so they can't create unfair battles...

      No. I see no reason why we should; if anything those would go in the tertiary slot as an effect system that saps jump charge from ships its weapon hits (More efficiently than the Jump Inhibitors alone). Great for turrets, but also not a very necessary addition.

When the entirety of a giant entity is loaded (in RAM) and rendered (in GPU) in full detail it causes issues, and worse, the existence of these giant entities causes database bloat (In HDD/SSD).
