Is it linked to the core? Try selecting the core (by pressing c) and see if the stop computer has the purple highlight.
A computer can't be linked to the core and to logic at the same time btw, in case that's what you did.
Nuuuu! I might not even participate (even though the chance of that happening is slim). And who knows? You might completely obliterate me at small ships :p.
I'm honestly not that great at small ships. The only ones I've ever made were all based on the same ball drone design.
Thanks! The wing structures are also turrets now (muahahaha).
I'll check the dimensions. As for the mass, it's mostly empty (for now), so telling you what it is wouldn't be very useful.
Current total dimensions (including turrets):
z: 1283
x: 432
y: 201
Update #23: Reactor rooms.
The ship is now equipped with twin reactor rooms (one on each side of the ship):
It might be a little hard to see but there's a glass walkway going down the middle of the 'trench'. It's easier to see ingame.
Those walls are actually stacked docked reactors. There's...
It's also amazing for dynamic 3D glass ship "holograms" since it can't be seen behind the glass, instead giving it a nice glow. And it can be logic controlled for damage displays and such
I'd say that's because beams are HORRIBLY unoptimized (seriously, something has to be done about that). The 40 beams from my docked reactors drop me to ~10 fps. I had to reduce their range to 10m in order to get ~30fps...
Really interesting contest. The mass restriction means that the ships can be made in a very reasonable amount of time, which is also very nice for people that already have too many projects under way (like me, lol).
And there's also moneys. A very big motivator xD
Dunno, it might be. I still took precautions to ensure that I always get my energy. And I mostly meant stable as in it transfers energy for ever (never runs out), I guess that was a bit useless considering the nature of docked reactors.
Nah, I meant that it's power stable :P. So even if the server lags and the reactor starts producing less energy it has enough power storage to cover that power loss (not for long tho). I think that's what you were referring to.
I recently made a docked reactor. It's 141x7x7, 1 mil e/sec, 700-800k power transfered (there's a loss) and is 100% stable.
Why not 9x9xsomething? Cause I'm using it as part of my interior and I'm decorating the outer layer of the reactor. Docking areas can also overlap, so I could pack them...
Exacty. That's why I'm not just turning dampening down to 0.
And I've been told that the imput lag thingy is caused by the way starmade detects user imput. Schema would pretty much have to rewrite it I believe (it'd be worth it though).
Yea, I know. I was just saying that cause people usually use that example for something being able to solo a huge ship, which wasn't actually the case ^_^.
The X-wings flying with luke in that trench run were basically additional shields.
