TwoNiner You're right. I admit that I haven't done much for the faction, but I haven't weighted it down either. And I did contribute some resources, believe it or not.
As you said, it's a game. My priorities are set on finishing my ship before the faction. That might seems wrong in your eyes...
You could actually do that with a very small amount of logic and creativity:
Dock a core to your ship
Link the dock to a not gate
link the not gate to a beam computer
Place a single beam block behind the dock, make sure that the beam computer is properly oriented. Link the beam computer to that...

Thing is... I'm pretty sure that the PD turrets were still on that ship and hadn't been shot out. I think that it may have glitched for the turrets. Also, what leanson said in the previous post.

I wasn't saying that it's a problem. I just didn't know that the EE range config allowed turrets to shoot from out of visual range (I couldn't see it on the nav) :P. It was actually pretty funny and I didn't mind.

A jammer means that you can't be targeted by lock-on missiles, which is a GIGANTIC advantage. Other than that, have you ever tried to locate an enemy without the use of nav or arrows? It's pretty hard.
