When the particle system is done we could have different impact effects allowing you to see what's hitting you. Of course I think I would rather have some kind of sensor system that allows us to scan ships and get an outline of their systems.

But that is a fair point, you can have a massive turret with smaller guns in it, but it will still be bound by the same balancing factors when they are introduced.
yeah I really want them to not shoot sideways out of their barrels. You would really have to plan turrets locations better to eliminate blind spots too.

That's because the turrets you docked in the old version of the game were too large but a bug allowed you to dock them anyway. That bug was fixed many, many patches ago. Turrets need a docking space the size of the turret now and not an "Unreasonably large space"
We need navigational logs, you can open the log and que up any location you have recorded, perhaps the game can add sensor systems that can also autocatalog points of interest, like when you find shops and planets.

Siege should be the same DPS just the amount of time between the massive shots increases to compensate. Slow rate of fire equals higher damage per shot, higher damage per shot equals larger power requirements.

Well small ships have the benefit of a TON of storage from the core, but the draw will eventually overcome this and you will need additional storage, so there is a point where smaller = better until you are large enough to start taking advantage of the power tanks storage growth.
