      Nah, you're looking it wrong. It's pronounced "Cue-bat-oms," I think. Anyway, Cubatoms are still in the game, lorewise, according to Cal. Capsules are the basic minerals of the universe, and factories work by restructuring the atoms (or, cubatoms, since the world is cubed) into what you need.

      It works like a second shield system. Those blocks cannot be damaged until they run out of the shared HP pool, at which point individual blocks can be destroyed.

      If capacity is 10x the size, you need 10x less blocks to maintain your current shield count. You can replace all that dead space with missile modules and power capacitors and utterly destroy every enemy you see. I have no idea what you're trying to say here, but it's not going to counter that...

      Mobile, invincible homebases is a horrible idea. I agree with jayman38, increased production time for ship based factories (vibrations from engines slow it down or something) would be fine.

      I have an idea for how it could work as well. alt+1, alt+2, alt+3, etc, would switch you to an additional hotbar, at which point you could use normal number keys to switch between them.

      The problem with armor is that it doesn't scale. Even if you give hull a 99% armor rating and 256 HP, eventually, people will build weapons strong enough to one-shot it, and then we're right back to square one.       I think the fighter might have to be rigged to make it near impossible to lose. Like, A tiny pirate drone vs you in an improved Isanth. As for fighting human targets, a shooting range like in Bench's awesome Smuggler's Cove station would work fine.

      It's not here yet, but trials just with human pilots are already showing that fleets are superior to singles. I mean, watch for yourself. This fleet annihilated any solo ship that came against them for a long time. It wasn't until the ENEMY ATTACKED IN GROUPS that they started taking loses.
