I don't really think we need more, just that it would be aesthetically beneficial for the ones we have to have a single computer face and be able to change their orientation.
Are we getting any more decorative computer panels that have a single unique side, or convert some of the ones we have over? The screens look great just not over every face when they are not embedded in a wall. That's why I didn't like the new texture on the "personal computer" as I was using...
I just refit a ship with two missile computers each shooting out to the side and it works... some of the time. I'd say maybe 1 in in four shots will arc from the side. These same ships spawned as AI will always shoot the missiles out the side and it looks amazing.

It looks better in the dev build... although the black seems a little too grey for my taste. The only other nitpicks I've got so far is I think I prefer the "realistic" personal computer over the new one and the fact that the gravity...

I have to say most of the textures look amazing (once I turn off that annoying compression thing)... I do feel that regular hull looks a little bland though at least on the one ship I had available that...
That should be black... I copied the new textures from the dev build into my current install and black shows up like this. Is there some incompatibility using the new textures with the older version of the game?
Yeah punch-through is far superior than any other hull damaging effect, it has no limitations while pierce and explosive are very limited (cannons destroy 6 blocks max and beams are a little more effective due to their multiple pulses)...
Can't wait to see some entries, I may not participate myself as it usually takes me longer than 3 weeks to build anything...
Edit: Speaking as somebody who has played Starmade with poor hardware 600x600x600 may be a little much
The entire faction system should be handled in game through menus and windows and not "just place blueprints in folder". So I would hope this is just a temporary place holder for when the full system is implemented.
I'd hope we'd have some kind of in game interface instead of just a folder tree system. The ability just to select what ships we want the ai factions to use as well as more in depth spawning parameters to control when and how many of the ships spawn, and how they act once they do. Trader AIs...
This would only be a stop gap measure, as I imagine the current custom station system is too. In the future we should have the ability to specify exactly what kind of AI factions there are and not just limited to pirates and trade guild.
