Reminds me a bit of FTL boarding, and doesn't sound overpowered considering that astronauts are at the mercy of traps and turrets (not to mention lock-on and charge time). Above all, it sounds fun, especially with an eventual astronaut update in mind. I like the way you tackled the problem...
Try to get a floating dock on the far side of the station and only come at it from the "outside" (meaning that the station is behind the docking block). A tip here is to decorate it with lights to make it easy to find.
Basically, you'll be fine so long as you stay out of the station's bounding box.
I'm all for sound. However, great care must be taken when implementing them as bad sound can completely ruin an otherwise great experience, no matter how nice the game looks and plays.
The abysmal, cringe worthy white noises emited by cores currently in game come to mind.
Care to elaborate? Not everyone here is familiar with minecraft's command block. If my memory serves right it's used to do admin commands via redstone?
If it's not trolling then it's a stunning display of stupidity.
Either way, this should be locked, the original concern of this post has received PLENTY of answers.
Some keen users might have noticed the increase in dev responses in the last week, that's mostly because of contribution between the council and criss/bench. We even completely changed the procedure used to pass on information and suggestions to the devs a week ago to make it more efficient.
That only works for me if they HAVE a target.
Rixxan Make sure that you're in the rail tab in the structure tab, not the "turret docking" tab since that's for the old docking system.
Turrets are also supposed to reset on their own once they exit combat, but only do so on a single axis due to...
Total amount of blocks in a weapon system * 10 = Dps for beams and cannons
Total amount of blocks in weapon system * 20 = DPS for missiles
Keep in mind that damage distribution is different for missiles, so you'll never actually get 20 dps per block (closer to 10 on average). Weapon combos...
For me it depends on the ship and it's weapons. I can be close up (almost ramming distance) with shield drain beams, bombarding from long range with missile/beam or just being lazy in a titan and letting the turrets blow everything up. Tbh close range is probably my favorite but high speed...
Seeing how power tranfer beams don't really cause lag since the last update I'm seriously considering installing docked reactors in the super turret. Either way it needs a refit since it barely does any block damage right now.
Won't happen anymore!!!!!!!!! Seems like something was done to beams because, holy f***** shit, my fps counter barely twitches when I activate Charon's 40 docked reactors!!!
