It would be very nice to see a update to some of the old stations. I do think especially SkyLordLuke s Contest Station or Dark_Inquisitor s Contest Station could look more breathtaking with rails
Paused creation of car. Which has been optimised:
- Front and back wheels have been fused into each axis
- Refined push effect clock (still not good enough because it bugs out >.<)
-
Meanwhile:
Created a Mech!
AC - Armored Combatant PROTOTYPE 1
WALKS, SHOOTS(KILLS), MOVES - kinda
This...
^This.
1. Where did you place the Bobby AI? Only on the base? Only on the barrel? Every single part needs to have one Bobby AI block.
2. Just in case: Have you turned the AI on? And what do you want it to shoot at?
The wheels use a little trick and not a normal clock:
R = rotator A = Activator <-/-> = Connection
R<-A->R
When a docked entity has rotated the rotator emits a logic signal to nearby activators. As the Activator is connected to the rotator the rotator is triggered and forces the docked...
Created a car!
It uses a clock to activate a push effect - well that was already possible without rails but this car also has toggleable wheels! The clock and the wheels can be toggled with a remote block and by activating the activator infront of the car core.
As that is just a prototype...
Instead of hardcoding NPC factions with AI i'd like to see that we could give NPC factions which we can create the following:
1. AI - Custom NPC mobs don't move except there is a enemy in range
2. Spawn behaviour - Custom NPCs don't spawn by themselves. A admin need to bring them in.
3...
Sounds quite nicely!
But before we get a pirate community contest could we get a ship blueprint system similar to the station blueprints?
I mean: If one would design a fearsome badass pirate ship for that contest, wouldn't that look quite stupid if the trading guild would fly these - instead...
I don't think that there is a 'daily' devblog but Kupu's thread is a good place to get some informations - at least about what Kupu is doing with textures. So (maybe) not that interesting for a regular user.
Actualy i think Omni once said that Daves female counterpart, if made, will be named Daisy after the song that HAL 9000 sings in the movie '2001: A Space Odyssey'.
There is no block as a spawner but you can execute the command /create_spawner_test while looking at a block
As far as i know Quads are affected by planet gravity. I'm not so sure about artificial gravity but you could try it using a trigger area as the gravity block then targets the entity...
