      Planned Global Skins

There's not going to be community backlash. People hated it in Evolve because 1) Mob mentality. One asshole flips out about it, everyone flips out about it because, let's be real here, gamers are morons. 2) It was by an AAA company, and people hate DLCs from AAA companies. I'm sure people would...

Let beam weapons to be focused to one spot and shot from there

Yes. No. Completely unnecessary. Just subtract the distance the beams traveled in the first place to reach the invisible block.

Single player should have its own balance

Just increase your mining multiplier if you don't like how the game is grindier.

Penta's Tetra's And Corners for every block that already has wedges

      153. That's how many IDs this would take up. I'm gonna say "no." I'd like to see them for doors/forcefields, but those are the only ones I see being worth it. It'd be cool, yeah. I like using them for cloakers too. I'd rather we just get cloaking as a system redone to allow for cloakers to...

      me wants [structurehp] and [armorhp]

I'd like if we could link a display module to a computer and get stats on it. Link a display module to a weapon computer, you can get reload time remaining (in ms, most likely), damage, power cost, etc. Link to a jump drive comp, get charge % and such. Etc, etc.

      Planned Global Skins

Am I the only one here who doesn't hate the concept of paying for vanity items/skins/etc? I think it's a great way for developers to earn some extra money and for people to support devs without making people miss out on content. I think 2 or 3 free skin slots, and then $1 for purchasing...

Brainstorm This Crew: Stations, bonuses, specialties, experience & expense.

That's... not how it works. Ship HP is the conglomerate HP of all your system blocks. If you have 50% HP, you've lost 50% of the total HP of your systems, not 60%. Not how Armor HP works. Makes using shipyards for repairs useless. You can't perform surgery in the middle of the woods with a...

      The ultimate drone R&D thread

It'd be more efficient to just have a small jump inhibitor on your main ship instead of using drones for it. The only use I really see with inhibitor drones is leaving them all over enemy space and the most likely routes between your space and enemy space to mess up their emergency drives.

Brainstorm This Crew: Stations, bonuses, specialties, experience & expense.

You're also not likely to take heavy damage far inside your ship. Astrotech would be for repairing armor and shallow system damage. Shipyards are full full repairs. A medkit can stop the bleeding, but you're going to need to see a doctor to get that bullet out of you and sew the holes in your...

Brainstorm This Crew: Stations, bonuses, specialties, experience & expense.

If it's for damage control, why not have an actual damage control system instead? Let's change Astrotech to be useful. It takes scrap (gives a use to scrap, woo!) from storage and repairs blocks/HP pool at a cost of 1 scrap for 1 HP in a radius around the impact point. I'd rather have a guy...

Brainstorm This Crew: Stations, bonuses, specialties, experience & expense.

So according to this logic, after I build my ships, I should hide them in the middle of deep space for a few days while my crew magically increase the strength of the systems without any actual resource cost on my end beyond what it costs to keep the astronauts working. I should then be able to...

Alright, but WHY should HP and Armor be systems you cam buff with an NPC running it? It doesn't make any sense.

And how exactly is he supposed to "repair and maintain the hull?" He's at a computer in the middle of the ship, not space walking around the outside of the ship with a blowtorch and some metal plates.

Brainstorm This Crew: Stations, bonuses, specialties, experience & expense.

Shield/Power Cap, Shield/Power Regen, Thrust? Sure. But losing the computers for those systems shouldn't disable them. The computers should solely be for crew to operate. I don't want to have to put a thrust and power computer on my three block zoom stick. Armor and HP? No. These are the...

Fix missiles so they are actually useful.

I am certain that cloaking is not intended to be foiled by swarm missiles. Cloaking is meant to be foiled by scanners.

Fix missiles so they are actually useful.

Most ships cannot support 100% overdrive. Additionally, that only works if you're moving AWAY from the missiles. Swarmers are not overpowered. They are just obnoxious, lazy, and a pain in the ass to deal with due to bugs making them stronger than they should be. Yeah, because those wouldn't...

Fix missiles so they are actually useful.

By being so many missiles that nothing short of a ship covered in hundreds of PD turrets can deal with it? You try dealing with a ship that fires off 400 missiles every 15 seconds. Then you are extremely unlucky, considering how swarmers are significantly more likely to target things closer to...

Reduceing the size of turrets with weapon emitter blocks

I think a better solution would be to just make it require mass enhancers.

Reduceing the size of turrets with weapon emitter blocks

Because you can give a battleship's main gun to (depending on server accuracy settings) an AI capable of hitting things further away than is humanly possible (due to ships being only a few pixels to the human eye at long range) that can turn at extremely high speeds, which is why I think it...

      Engine Porn

It's intentional to balance the usage of missiles that lock on instantly and are in large numbers.
