You arnt giving much information to work with ... just as a general advice when you want to get help on these matters from people give them everything that may help .. more info than needed is rarely a problem ;)
you may want to try to install 64 bit Java on your system manualy ... i guess it...
Make sure you did assign a reasonable amount of RAM under Options -> Memory settings (Client&Singleplayer)
4096/2048/1024 should be enough as long as you have 6-8GB of Memory available.
If the Game crashes after changing to a higher Memory setting than 1025 you are running 32bit java.
And you...
you could try to start dedicated server and set the memory for that seperate to test. then connect to loacalhost.
there isnt any way to strip features from the server afaik
in the light that you can play Multiplayer games without problems and only get these problems when running Server and Client on your own
(thats what Singleplayer does) your limiting part here is the CPU i would assume.
as a sample here is my i5 4670K @3.4ghz running Singleplayer (and a Browser )...
Is this still happening with the .19485 Release ?

and add the graphcisinfo.txt (from the same logs folder)

What OS and what hardware are you using?
To limit the memory to 512 MB is not a good idea ... remove that
Make sure you do have a 64bit Java properly installed on a 64bit system!
for manual download you have to look here : https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
a bigger ship will simply cause a collision check sooner than a small one ... and the prevention on spawn would be to place it outside the planets area or something like that ...
just put one rail basic on the planet on a small stick and a rail docker on the ship and park it that way while...
seems there isnt a unified way to make these setting for amd systems. I found this on the web, but cant confirm it i have no AMD APU with dedicated 2nd GPU.
