Decent speed? Are you sure about that? o_O 12mph max speed is far from a decent speed. It was less than half the speed of some of the heavy tank destroyers of that era..
Also, the larger 150mm gun had little to do with aesthetics and everything to do with the need for more dakka...
Not necessarily, but here's some food for thought.
This is an example of a Nazi German WWII era tank that looks like crap, is slow as molasses, is comically overweight, has a short operational range, can't cross a bridge, sinks through almost any surface that isn't solid stone, originally had...
I'll expand on both of your comments. There is a recurring theme with regard to most players' style of play. It goes:
- gather as many resources as you can
- build big ships
- kill little ships
- complain that no one will fight them, complain about server lag, and claim that the game is too...
(Reads title. Continues to read thread; hoping for true philosophical discussion. Face palms...) o_O
To be honest, I never learned how to make a ship that isn't both combat/utility functional and aesthetically pleasing. It seems like a waste of everyone's time to build a 'brick' in a...
I've given this some thought. I'm sorry, but this new rule is too restrictive to my liking. I can see it easily coming back to bite me at some point.
The truth is; while I don't mind making alliances, there are very few people I trust to have in a faction with me. If they aren't online...
You just blew my day with that. This is the exact opposite of the play style I'm interested in.
I would have never agreed to take over the Light faction, or even come back to LvD if I had known this; as I'd be forced to do nothing but fight. So what happens if/when people leave factions or...
As you've seen, it's definitely possible to build a ship with a stable cloak/jam system. The best approach is to build long chains of reactors in lines, "L" shapes or cross shapes to get as close to the 2 million e/sec power soft cap as possible.
If you want to get fancy, use the motherboard...
Yeah. But they all know who I am now. I'd have to go to another server to pull that kind of stunt. They'd probably ban me and block my IP if they ever found out it was me. :D
That's part of the reason why I buff the warhead damage on my own PC. That way, all the cores overheat after...
Nah... I'm not that bad. Just as Light vs Dark has a duality theme, so do I.
It boils down to good intentions meant to make the game more interesting and enjoyable for everyone, ...with the capacity to leave a nasty scar on anyone who wants to act like a bully.
Ironically, my warhead...
Good Whammy says:
"I think it's important to have a method of balancing the inequities of combat between ships of significantly different sizes. My goal is to make it easier for players who build small to medium sized ships to survive encounters with larger vessels; so that PVP becomes a...
Guys, we don't have to make them break their agreement or change their structure.
Anyone with any business sense understands that the NDA is there to protect the company's interests so the game doesn't get wrecked from the inside. ...and I know you all don't want to wreck the game...
A logic-driven torpedo massacre man!? o_O
That's a good one! If it comes as any reassurance, I don't randomly fire these things at people, they are strictly for anti-capital warfare.
As for independence; I can definitely respect that. If I hadn't been specifically asked to lead the...
While I'm sorry to see Keptic leave, I'll admit that I don't quite know the whole story.
On the other hand, the situation he described is exactly what is going on at my current job. Communication is paramount to any strong organization and I can tell you from my professional experiences that...
