If you meant activating logic blocks from ship core, then it's already planned (sorry didn't really understand the first part of the post) starhaiden you can't really exploit this because ships have limited energy.

I think that it would only encourage teamwork on servers. For example, one player keeps target's shields down and another goes in with a drilling ship, drills into the hull of the target and deploys a group of NPC's or players to capture the ship. That way it wouldn't be OP. Also, practically...

This would only work on planets and asteroids. But I do agree that activation time could depend on block count in the area
