I would just like to state that there is also a need to be able to turn them off in build mode as well. (Try building systems with 80 connections per panel and 250+ panels)
I say make it an option in the graphics menu like "draw beams" is. That way each person can deal with it as they need /...
Here is what I set up to trigger constant rotation.
Link the button and activator to the AND, and then the AND to the rotator, next link the activator to the button.
When the activator is turned on it will constantly rotate.
(Side note: This set up can/will fail to trigger at speeds higher...
If you mean like having a beam slave change the shape of the pulse generated to be more like a blade than I am all for that.
As for blocks that are meant solely for ramming I cry to think of the lag that would result. Then they would either be too weak to bother compared to a pulse, or so...
Its not possible to do it automatically in game, but we have confirmation that it will be possible in the future.
Until then you can set a storage box to pull from your cargo area near your dock, and multiple drop off boxes by the stations docks to speed up the process.
(For an "easy" fix...
Honestly your videos are good enough that you should do what ever the hell you want.
If any video maker gives you grief they are losers. (Plus I will tell them to screw off and get good)
Keep on doing what you want to do. :)
If you want to minimize spin, use a single powerful cannon round, since it has less "ticks" than a beam.
As for the rails bit flip-flops work well for telling if a section of rails is ready for another entity to pass.
Sometimes it may not let you in to build so just try placing another build block. I think we ended up needing two build blocks per person back on NFD corinth.
Why don't we take it a step further and have Schema temples on all planet types? of course a very rare chance.
(perhaps with a few shield caps/recharge to keep random damage to a minimum)
Terrible idea for so many reasons. Let me guess you also don't want it to count as a hostile action to place blocks?
The potential for griefing with this tool would be beyond the effort needed to implement it in any sane way.
I built it like that to show you some examples, its larger than what would be needed for the first thing you asked for.
With a small amount of modifications I can make it fill this role "a version of this where the outputs turn on sequentially and stay on until the fourth button press." as well...
If you could figure out a shift register it has all the elements you need for what you wanted.
Anyway I went and threw together a little demo of what you wanted.
Takes 4 button presses to go through [1,0,0] [0,1,0] [0,0,1] [0,0,0].

It sounds like what you want is a Shift Register.
Take a look here.

I also think this may have one or at least may help you build one. (been I while since I looked at it)...
+1 probably the best way to trigger the jump, having to use a clock, and then make a fancy timer just to make sure it won't jump until I want it to ends up taking a good amount of space. I would like it if they output a high signal when they are fully charged as well, for being able to read when...
It is currently OP, but it should not be removed from the game.
Like others have said before me logic can charge them WAY to fast, if a limit is put on them it will bring them in line fine.
(Like how a logic push drive cannot activate as fast a player held one no matter how fast you clock it)...
