The skin files are 256x256 pixels, when zoomed in like your above image, you are using more pixels to show it than there were available to create it. It gets distorted and blurry as it distributes what was once a single pixel size of information over several pixels of monitor space.

They're not suppose to tile like the hull of a ship, nor are they suppose to look raw. They will keep their "cut" and edges as they are a refined / manufactured resource. Not a purely decorative object to build a ship out of. Let's keep further comments on topic in reply to the OP's first post.

Nice! Looks impressive. It'd be cool to see some logic systems / area triggers that open up shortcuts or could put opponents in lava, timed route changes etc.

The drawback of hitting the limit on unique ID's is that we would not be able to add more ID's. Pardon my being blunt, but you believing it or not is inconsequential. It is a limitation we must factor in and be wary of for future development.

No. There are 8 Crystals. Sertise (purple) and Nocx (Darker purple / Black) are correspondent with Purple Hull and Black Hull respectively. Nocx has quite a purple hue currently and needs to be made darker to better fit the role of a black crystal. Again.... Wanting everything or...
