Why do people complain about how bad the new planets look? They were published after lots of complaints that the update is taking too long, so don't expect them to be final. I'm sure @schema will improve them after more important things are done.
Is ther a way to increase the number of undo steps? In the settings.cfg there's a line B_UNDO_REDO_MAX = 30, but any changes to it are reverted when starting the game.
I design my ships outside in after drawing them on paper and in Paint, so it's option 2 and 3. Designing the inside doesn't make much sense to me while weapons are still subject to significant changes and the HP-system isn't even in the game, yet, so I don't even know how many layers of armor I...
Open server.cfg and change PLAYER_MAX_BUILD_AREA = 10 to something bigger.
200% agreed. It would be easy to add a sphere-checkbox, and when it's checked instead of an X * Y * Z cuboid we get an ellipsoid. Code for this can surely be found in the internet.
Are turrets clever enough to use their own power for shields and their mothership's power for weapons, or do they use their own power for weapons and then realize that there's no power left for shields?
We are both right. It's not acceleration in Newtonian physics, but it is in general relativity (rule of thumb: if you feel a force that presses you into your seat you are accelerating, no matter if you are at home, in a car or a space ship).
Both of you are right. Changing direction isn't acceleration in common language, but it is in physics. Even sitting in your chair in earth's gravity field can be seen as acceleration.
Larger ships must fend off more missiles, and fighters can have a turret or two as well. And I'm absolutely for making turn rates of missiles dependent on damage, but I think aside from that no more limitations are needed.
You seem to be a friend of countermeasures. :D
On earth at sea level, not generally.
The range of gravity could be extended to 10 planet radii. At that range the gravity is 1% of surface gravity. Less than that would be countered by friction anyways.
That's why you can shoot them now.
Agree, but larger missiles should also have more HP.
Definitely. Evading should require some skill and not come for free.
This way adding non-system blocks that aren't hardened hull anywhere on a ship which is covered in hardened hull would reduce the armor rating. This would severely punish the use of decorative blocks, as these have no armor and don't contribute much HP.
Logical consequence of people being...
If I try to replace several blocks at once and I run out of blocks not all selected blocks can be replaced, but are still removed. When there aren't enough blocks to replace all selected blocks, there shouldn't be block removal without replacement as well as a warning message.
