If you set your turret to "SELECTED TARGET", you an actually build "safeties" on your turrets to keep them from firing. Dock a 3rd entity to the cannon barrel with a force field/door in front of the weapon output. Use wireless logic to turn off the barrier and allow the turret to fire. This...
Nice try but the joke is; like many other Non-PVPers, I don't care ruining or saving PVP. I can honestly take it or leave it. On the other hand, you don't get to decide how I choose to play the game. So you can go home and worry who's trying to blockade your homebase and torch your ships...
If you insist; Sure I'll compare them.
- Logic games push the boundaries of one aspect of building in StarMade to their limits, while empire vs empire warfare is usually just a bunch of trigger happy players who want something to justify their aggressive tendencies but don't have what it...
Regarding - " Probable extreme events"; Everything I've mentioned is something that I've personally witnessed or had happen to me on a repeat basis.
Regarding - big empires chasing off the rest of the server's player base; I've seen it and almost had it happen to me several times. When...
If you think my response was a strawman statement then you really do have an extremely naive view of reality.
Both in StarMade and in many other games, many (though not all) proponents of PVP can't seem to grasp the concept of "Wheaton's Law". If you want to support/engage in that kind of...
I know what you wrote.
I'm addressing what actually happens outside of your hypothetical corporation scenario. As such, I want neither to be annexed no forced to set up in someone else's territory. Both are unreasonable expectations for a game like this.
You WILL kill off servers with...
Um... No.
I've tried to remain impartial but I'm siding with Edymnion on this one.
In the past, I've had people try to extort me into joining them. I've also had them try to extort bribes from me in exchange for "protection", "military aid", or simply being left alone. The audacity of...
Unbiased feedback...
As a player who primarily runs a 1-man faction, I can honestly say that I have no interest in "taking over the galaxy". Logistically speaking; It's simply too much for one player to manage. ...and that's how it should be.
Regardless of your position on this topic...
While I like the idea, it should be noted that it is possible to have a pickup-rail/rail-basic combo that passes through a door. It's somewhat limited; in that you must use one of 3 specific building methods to pull it off but it works well once constructed.
Option 1) Build your pickup rail...
I can just see the grief storm brewing... How about this instead?
- Get shot by ship-mounted weapons and reach 0% health and you die.
- Get shot by personal weapons and reach 0% health and you become "stunned" for 5 minutes and drop whatever weapons/items you had in your hotbar (you keep...
You know; after making a 100 round select-fire, automatic warhead/torpedo launcher, I really have no excuse...
Time to get the lead out and animate that force field.
Love the animations guys.
I've recenly been cutting down on the amount of entities on my craft to make them more server friendly so my doors tend to be static. With that having been said, sometimes, I too like to get fancy...
This isn't reasonable. I'm pasting a good 50+ meters away and still getting this message.
I understand that this might be needed in multi-player but the detection range for this function is too large. Now it's hindering single player builds. How do you bypass this function in single player?
