Your faction\'s settings might be set to \"Consider Neutral as Enemy\". Check if that\'s enabled, and if so, disable it. That should solve the problem.

The beam lets up when you stop clicking. It\'s also auto-set by nature of the game to come out of the cannon block that is the farthest forward. This is how the cannons work. Hope this helps clear things up :)

Inventories and credits are preserved after death. If you want to \"reset\" your player, you can always delete your active undeathinator (assuming you have set one), suicide, and dump your inventory and credits at spawn.
Type this command into chat. it will tell you the sector of space your ship is located in. Just input the coordinates for that into your navigation menu (the blue button in the navigation tab)
