Could we possibly have more types of asthetic hull peices?

What do you mean? The corner pieces work fine. Just activate Adv. Build Mode with left ctrl and rotate the wedges.

Not left and right, thusly, they can only be used in limted ways.

Well there is the corner for the outside of a right angle of edge pieces, but no piece for the inside corner of a right angle of wedges.
