Wow, this thread is a mess. Almost as bad as the original suggestion.
Starmade isn't Rust, there's no reason taking a home base should be any easier than it currently is. If you really want to assault a base, attack their satellite outposts.
The only real answer I can give is "maybe." I honestly don't know. I've sunk so much work into that class that I'm not entirely sure I can justify it. Perhaps one day, if I need a carrier or carriers are actually viable ships.

Feel free, m8.
But yeah, I assume he can do it all through wireless logic and maybe some intra ship remotes. They seem to be working reliably now on ships (but not stations).
I get everything you're saying, and that's all well and good, but really it seems as though the OP was about whether or not we think crafting needs an overhaul. Personally I do, and a change in nomenclature is my suggestion for doing so. So while understanding some dev reasoning behind the...
I'm not sure that's a particularly strong argument in a game which constantly adds to and overhauls existing content. Plus, the current elements were at one time "never before referenced" as well. I'm just of the opinion that all these made-up things kind of unnecessarily increase the entry...

Basically, let's take the resource calculator...
