Thats a bummber though i can imagin this game being a blast on a console especially the wii u benefiting in some parts of the game like rapid selection on the screen or a tac pad for commanding your ships

This is a great idea i love the idea of building an empire its always one thing i did on minecraft after building an epic castle i would build citys and wall them up and set up roads
I agree with this idea it was very creative with the antenna i don't think i have ever used an antenna for much of anything this would give it a purpose to be within a ship
Hmmmm im thinking maybe a way to have like a target reticule like system and what ever ships you have in the list of ships following you.

And by clicking on the ship the chosen ships will attack...
I prefer functionality being a prime focus to any game if the game can play smoothly for the cheapest computer on market then you open yourself to a wider range of customers once that is achieved then you polish what you have to make it look good for the launch off point
Honestly polished looks isn't important compared to making the game run smoothly with out making the game lag that i think should be focused on as opposed to just making the game look pretty

A good point there i would say limit the size of ships to escort class ships say ships 30k and under can be commanded while other sizes would be considered capital ship class and maybe a limit on commands to task force sized fleets while fighters and bombers are limited to 40 ships per flagship...
Well logically this feature would apply to everyone and bigger groups having more is a given
Unless shine makes this feature for the little guys in the game but that would make the older players angry
I agree with you guys on this plus it would also make having carriers be more of a thing then just having big player controled ships you would also have big fleet engagements which would capture more players eyes as well
How about making something on the planets that can prevent the block count till you penetrate the atmosphere and as you get closer the blocks load up procedurally could that be done maybe it could cut the lag from when you are flying in space
On a side note im not sure what class this will be now that ive looked at the specs of the original im making this twice the originals length so this is going to be a major project so i might end up with more then i was going for but i will make sure its well protected
