Found a copy of the game that runs for me, v0.199.646
No idea what's up with the difference but this copy of the shadowcube.vsh file runs for me and doesn't crash so far. :)
Shadows are off for me but I'll check to see if the settings menu and the config are different
Edit: Ya nothing different from the options menu unless I missed something.
Had a similar discussion about the naming conventions of the Isanths a while back: Isanth Naming conventions for effects and supports? Figured it might help generate more ideas. :)
I'm getting this rather annoying error yet again this patch. It'd be nice if someone could help fix this since it gets rather annoying not being able to play because of errors like this.
So much this. Or maybe remake them into something that can be moved and rotated like a command chair. A middle ground would be to have placeable cores where if a core already exists the act of placing a new core would recalculate the ship's coordinates around the new core and remove the old one.
If memory serves you should be at war with any faction you aren't allied with and anything not in a faction. As for the war with planets and asteroids yes the devs forgot to make it so that didn't happen. XD
hmm I distinctly remember being able to blockade enemy Homebases with just AI ships. No need for players, just post some satellite ships outside the "Spawn Camping Range" and let the thing sort itself out. :)
As for my Homebase defenses the general idea is I get a good gauge what the largest...
As for large faction border issues I find scattering a metric ton of gun stations to work for most enemies. As for coordinated attacks it really depends on the players attacking.
That said there might be a way to check ships and stations on save to set their unloaded combat rating.
