      Implemented Maximum Mass limit.

Page 1 of the comments. Bench said there won't be a universal mass limit, but that since servers have the option to cap mass he felt that this feature was already implemented because the functionality was there for those who want it.

      Implemented Maximum Mass limit.

Necromancy! Necromancy most foul! Seriously though. Most servers have no limit and that seems popular, but the side effects are also commonly complained about. At least one server did manage some popularity with a rather strict size limit before the new systems rolled out.

      Fleet Miners

It's nice to have fleet miners back to working at least somewhat decently again. Very glad of it - much carpal tunnel syndrome shall be avoided. Couple items for thought and discussion along with suggestions: Aim & Fire They still love to aim at single blocks on the edge of the asteroid and...

      [21st of June] Schine Bi-weekly Q&A

Right now is already a prime opportunity! We have all been addressing concerns here this whole time - both during the months of the dev cycle before and since release (barring those who got themselves banned for calumny and abuse during that period, of course). Is there a particular kind of...

Universe Patch Brainstorming: Incentives Against Turtling?

Always comes back around to requiring vulnerable infrastructure. In terms of just 'turtling' that would be the biggest relief of it - you can only field so much mass or power without setting up vulnerable stations and planetary bases which you then have to defend with fleets as well as their own...

Universe Patch Brainstorming: Incentives Against Turtling?

See... I always feel like theoretically that makes sense, but that in practice invulnerable is what makes trolling in Starmade sooo bad. No matter how anti-social someone gets, you just can't touch them. There are no repercussions except to turn to the admins, and that then quickly becomes the...

      Either Simplify or Expand Factories

I think that this is where tech could become extremely relevant. Rather than recipes being random or semi-random, let them keep their very simple profiles at outset, but facilitate a research & development process that allows players to (slowly) develop new versions of recipes that...

Turn down salvage beam intensity a smidge...

Yeah, I really want an in-game toggle to muffle flare.

      Recoil Direction unclear

Recoil seems to go only up at this point.

      Returning player seeks help :)

Shipyards just got a round of bug fixes and are said to be working pretty well now, but I have not personally confirmed this with testing. For station turrets, try some multi-output missile turrets. The new missiles are still missing a lot, so sending more down range improves your ability to...

      Weapons Testing Results

I think this comes down to armor changes. Armor is more effective now, and I feel like it works pretty well against lighter cannon. Cannon heavy enough to penetrate with power left do excellent damage to internal organs.

Universe Patch Brainstorming: Incentives Against Turtling?

Well, I disagree about total war and faction death - I think those should be optional from server to server. The game is a "sandbox space shooter," it's not necessarily coop or civ, but a good sandbox should be able to be modded to serve either audience. I really, really like the idea of making...

Universe Patch Brainstorming: Incentives Against Turtling?

I think a version of this is much-needed. Players should start on planets, and not all on the same spot - it affects the entire way players experience the game. Literally because we start all up on each other and often someone takes random pot-shots at you in the protected sector and it feels...

      Weapons Testing Results

Thanks for the share. When beta weapons initial hit dev build, missiles were super OP. Now they do ship damage comparable to beams, inferior shield damage, and yet have all the drawbacks of munition counts, vulnerability to point defense, and frequent misses. Personally, I like all the...

      Cantaloupe

Damn. I love your style. This semi-realistic, industrial style is what I go for with a lot of my civilian rigs but I can't get it anywhere close to this. The shape is exactly what I was using use for my civ cores ('cores' being functional but naked ships, oriented around excellent power...

      Either Simplify or Expand Factories

Teching is something that has been repeatedly shouted down by the community but I have always thought could play a positive role. I think the devs have a longing eye towards a long-lasting tech/research process as well... considering the entire chamber dynamic originally came out with the...

      Either Simplify or Expand Factories

This is sort of the main reason why I think it should be more complicated. Simple crafting is a major factor in our "perpeturtle" problem. No reason to make connections or reach out at all when the most simple, economical and safest path is to personally administer every aspect of your...

      How to generate more power?

Yeah, you totally do. At the time the alternative was far less promising and I was able to buy enough time to charge a jump when I cleared the heat zone on the other side. Seems like less damage now, actually - I did a very fast fly through last month in a rather small ship with no heat...

      Either Simplify or Expand Factories

I would vote for greater complexity, to increase the value of manufactured goods. Every recipe in the advanced factory could be as complex as Advanced Armor, for one, and advanced factories could be more complex and draw more power. I think this would make the existing tiers more meaningful and...

      How to generate more power?

Fun! Yeah, I have flown right through stars as an evasion tactic before. I think they need to use the build inhibitor effect wherever star damage occurs. Really simple solution.
