What do you mean they glitch out, Nosajimiki ? Do they go off the nodes just randomly? Honestly, if what looks like a meter thick jet of plasma goop is going through your interior because of battle damage, I'd expect that it'd be a bit of a pain. And if it is next to your core, that's also...
Perhaps it shouldn't. But if we concede that it does exist, can we not use it to execute the damned traitorous men and women who have no concept of real loyalty?!
I mean, I don't got crew on my ships, but that don't mean that I don't build them gallies. I'd always be RP or something promised in a faraway crew update. But nonetheless, I like to know that the gruesome death is always an option. It could be a mite interesting in combat too; for example, if...
Ships of the frontier have always ended up creating some form of execution for traitors. In the day's of pirates and wooden tall ships, it was having the traitor be keelhauled by dragging them along the barnacles under the ship. In The Expanse, the threat of getting spaced and thrown out the...
I much prefer the longer release cycles with more updates in the middle of them to the old way, I really hope SchDev keeps this up! Much more fun development process to watch. :^D
It DOESN'T FREAKING MATTER!
Were playing a game that is supposed to PLAY WELL, and LOOK COOL.
Schine is not trying to make a massively realistic game. They're trying to make something that satisfies those two categories. Most of the suggestions on this form go into the PLAY WELL category (logic...
I think people are overthinking/misunderstanding this suggestion a bit. This is purely a visual change, if star made was meant to be hyper realistic (i.e. Elite: Dangerous). Well, there would be some considerable differences from what we have now. But it's not. The beams should still be aim-able...
But it would be SOOO cool. I would use it for automated public docking, or cooler ship ship comms within my fleet. It can't be more taxing on the server than, say chat if you put limitations on it. maybe 1 message every 10 seconds max per vessel (not entity, that could be exploited). I doubt...
Honestly, this sounds lovely. However this come from someone who is not a prided battle engineer. But, as with all systems: it seems cool if the balance is done right.
I would personally vouch for both, however, could you clarify what you mean by [FREQUENCY] tag on the display block. Would activating that display block send the frequency of that block to a wireless module, or would it send the contents of the display block to other display blocks with that...
Perhaps just an anchor system could be added to ships in order to let them use station things. Idk how this would work though. Perhaps it could be like a more effective defensive stop that would let factories and stuff run. It could also just make the ship really sticky, and if it were rammed...
I think that the most all-pleasing solution would be putting a little slider on the gravity module to let people pick what kind of gravity they want on there ship. This could also be affected by logic.
