They're not connected folding or dimensional gates, they're accelerator gates. The reason you need two is so the jump doesn't need to be calculated, just zeroed in on a beacons current location. Just an assumption.

Yeah, my fault too I think. I won't say anything further on the matter but this: the wider community does -not- accept EE as the server of choice, only its players do, which is how it should be.

I feel like testing that theory, at least seeing if custom NPC faction stations would spawn defenders when fired on like trade guild shops and pirate stations. Natural spawns of ships aren't even really happening in the current release version except for at sectors/ bases built too close to pirates.
