      torch beam damage

Hadn't even thought of such an exploit. That needs to get fixed; maybe just tie the reload times of all the tools of the same type together, so triggering one of them makes all of them run the same reload timer. You can probably do that with all the astronaut weapons right now, right? Fix...

      Small Simple Requests

Yeah, that's what I've been doing with the motherboard wedges, blue forcefield slab or wedges for screens often.

      Small Simple Requests

Make the special computer models not count as blocking a seat when trying to place them in front of a wedge-chair. I want to be able to sit at a desk with a keyboard that isn't a full meter away. I've been using motherboard wedges to represent keyboards, but they look goofy, especially with the...

I was wondering how you did the internals for that planet... I should get back to designing my planet-cities probably. Right after these brief ships... I totally agree rails are often too slow, but maybe there's a good server reason for that like collision detection lag.

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

Yeah turret ai is practically nonexistent right now in starmade. And lock on missiles, lock on beams and Cc are going to be the best weapons in this config anyway, it's what these guys plan for the future of the game.

RTS Tactical Overview (like Homeworld) with Fleet Block

Would be a very cool way to manage things indeed. I've been wanting something like this forever tbh

      Galaxy restructuring

Should be able to make some pirate ships and stations with jump inhibitors now, though they'd doubtlessly have to be adjusted sometimes. If I dared to stand beside the devs dreams, I would suggest making the regions they want to use the "civilized" and economically viable portions of the...

I'll have to do that yeah oops

      CS: Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade

Sorry it took so long to reply, work and finding a new house (hopefully with internet access!) has been kicking my ass. I totally understood that the shield high/low damage reduction chambers were tied to shield capacity. What I meant by changing strategy is more changing from a low damage...

      Masurmend / Vermessung - Blocks

Yeah, a new tool, not a block, to measure distance between point a and b quickly, and display distance as a number on blocks along it's length, Templates kinda work for that, but it's still fiddly.

      CS: Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade

Ideally anything up to 16s reload time. I'm not scared of higher really, 30 seconds wouldn't be bad. We have both shield chambers for high and low damage protection, I thought they could be better put to use if there was such a thing as high and low damage in your own weight class, and to add an...

      CS: Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade

Haven't gotten to touch the new configs yet (cell phone data cannot download new versions of the game or configs yay rural living). I did love the linear reactor chamber levels and chamber size growth. In my experience it made planning and comparing things easier than the exponential formula, I...

      RTS Survival Ideas

Regarding food; it probably shouldn't be mandatory, but a luxury item. Their holographic meatloaf is free. Krabby patties are in high demand. Keep them krabby or they get crabby. The only crew resources absolutely necessary should be beds; not having enough beds, having to share, makes them...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

These are great suggestions. I also thought the beam secondaries were too tame, too close to unmodified weapons in that respect. I especially found the missile-beam to have an oddly short refire rate for it's huge radius bonus that doesn't scale down well; a very small 10 block missile-beam...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

I totally disagree regarding nerfing thrusters; I think it's a necessity for balancing large and small ships. In a competition between two craft of similar density, dedicating equal power to thrust, I would for game plays sake like the smaller of the two to have the advantage in speed and...

      Small Simple Requests

More astronaut equipment/gameplay considerations. Equipment like a personal shield generator, assault rifle style weapon, scanner, cloaker, personal heavy jetpack/scooter bike. Grenades w/ ricochet mechanics around corners. Should astronauts get additional game mechanics to allow them to play...

      Deep, Dark, Void Horror.

Deebus this thread was dead until you came along. This is outright necromancy. The "suggestion" itself isn't too bad, the salient points being; -They dislike starlight and/or normal matter. They should avoid getting in melee range with anything. -They don't have to obey the laws of physics we...

      The Quickfire Initiative: Rebalancing StarMade.

That was my suggestion as well, but it seems not to fit the overarching plan here. I kinda felt stabilizers were standing in the way of a better mechanic, like heat generation/dissipation. I would love to be able to make such a custom config. Not that such should be the default config, but I...

Discuss with the Devs July 18 2019 ([SIS]-Shortform)

Certainly an interesting way to divvy up the space. I would both generate "metasystems" and larger individual systems within them. The current solar systems have orbits of objects pretty cramped so expanding them outwards into surrounding otherwise empty space, making some of them a 48^3 sector...

Discuss with the Devs July 18 2019 ([SIS]-Shortform)

The apparent shrunkenness inherent in this is one of it's biggest turnoffs for me too, but then again they're being so frustratingly vague who can actually tell what they really intend? It would be nice if they'd draw us a picture... I don't think the entire galaxy needs to be narrowed down into...
