      Rail Docking Clamps

The idea is to have an extending docking clamp that can be docked to when extended, and be used to dock when retracted. This is so that my new battleship is can dock/be docked to another without it looking too stupid. The issue that will need some kind of advanced workaround is that I also want...

      Rail Docking Clamps

I want to know if anyone has tried to make extending docking clamps that can be docked on when deployed, and allow the ship to dock to another clamp when not deployed. I will attempt to develop a similar system for the Solomon-Class, but I feel I should see what the community has done thus far...

Cool! If you need any help with the logic, I can try giving some pointers.

      The ultimate drone R&D thread

I believe the idea is to stay far out of harm's reach with your carrier, only sending out a disposable grid or carefully setting up a drone attack. Besides, it also would potentially catch people by surprise, without giving them a chance to mobilize.

      Trekkertech Inc. Competition time!

Due to the server hosting problems yesterday I only go to show off one tiny aspect of the ship before I was forced off. Here is the rest of the update:

      Old Station Update Temptation

Yasssss! I would very much like to take a crack at making stations. Don't worry, Ill try to make sure those stations are FABULOUS, baby.

      The ultimate drone R&D thread

This is an extreme example of a logic-jump ship. Keep in mind that I am recording this through build-mode, not flight mode: You have to send a high quantity of on packets to get the full effect, thus why I used an overclocker. It is totally possible to make drones with jump drives. The...

      Old Station Update Temptation

Go for it, if you really want to. It would be nice to see some rail-updated stations.

      Look captain, no hands! (Auto-Jumpdrive!)

Ok, I initially tried 'amplifying' the activator(making the activator the slave of several activators), but this quickly proved to be a complete waste of time and space. So I instead tried using a heavily overclocked clock, and well: As you can see, I was in the build mode, and it was moving...

      503 and other errors

Ok, things seem to be running ok now. Your temporary measures seem to be working. Hopefully it is not too much of a setback for the team.

I concur. Having the same realm of problems. In fact, I could barely post this message.

      Trekkertech Inc. Competition time!

Yep, when I finish my battleship, I will be sure to include some mid-range ships. Fighters all the way up to frigates, with perhaps a few cruisers mixed in at the end. I am still working up an aesthetic for my ships, so any suggestions to make my builds more spectacular? Also, glad you like my...

      Trekkertech Inc. Competition time!

There is a reason why I marked it crazy logic builds. Hard to stay sane while connecting every individual connections, and the scale of the logic is enormous compared to my original. EDIT: This post is marked for reuse. A little bit of a reminder for myself.

      Trekkertech Inc. Competition time!

Hello and welcome to Trekkertech Inc! Here at Trekkertech Inc, we try to produce a wide range of ship designs that combine practicality, technology, and robustness. Although, we also like to throw it all out of the window and go overboard every now and then. Current Completed Ships...

      Look captain, no hands! (Auto-Jumpdrive!)

I had a strong suspicion you were going to say that. The reason I ask is that logic does not always behave in ways you might expect when you overclock it or make it overly complicated. Speaking of that, Would it be more efficient to overclock a single activator, or is it better to 'amplify' a...

      Look captain, no hands! (Auto-Jumpdrive!)

I am going to have to look into implementing this system on my battleship. Any unusual quirks I should know about? Also, Does the size of the jump drive effect the charging speed? Furthermore, is the charging speed diminished? Also, do you have to use timing circuits to regulate multiple jump...

      Dev Blog : September 9th 2015

Your description of the axis scan immediately reminded me of the baryon sweep from Star Trek TNG. So basically, you are using a collision plane to render the 3d hitboxes onto a 2d plane, effectively slicing the sector up hitboxes included, so that a slice of space with only one entity doesn't...

Docking ships with turrets vs. framerate

It may be that your docked ship and all it's turrets are inside the box-dimensions of the station, causing constant collision checks. When enough entities are involved, these collision checks become costly. I suggest trying to dock on the edge of your station's boxdims, or setting the speed of...

Punch Through Module -> no effect

I did not know this. Tell me, do weapons lose their native effect when you slave an effect to them?
