      You mean a space elevator placed sideways? I think it might work... but not that great... Personally, I suggest having the hall be at least 2x2 and use the standard tinyest fliable ship to get from point A to point B inside the ship. Of course, docking modules at each major bifurcation or joint...

      But isn't up to the servers to decide the size of the planets? Honestly, on my weak pc (since I switched to a gaming laptop) I think the loading of the blocks was the most laggy part. But once I had them loaded, the lag was reduced considerably (up to none). That's why I think these planet sizes...

      THIS is what I mean. And it takes a few minutes to get from an end to the other, if you have a big ship... also, the ratio of walking shall also be tweaked... making the character have it's own vector moving, like the ship. if you press W for a minute, you get to a speed from which to stop you...

      Actually, it would allow the player to move faster, to say the least... Also, it will allow more complex shapes to be placed without them looking too big. In fact, it would only require some layout editing of the ships, with the halls bigger and that's pretty much the only downside looks-wise...

      Maybe a tiny performance for a good system, but for a low-end system, the animations are a great deal of resources. And the same goes for the texture's resolution.

      And what I'm saying is that even if that is true, it doesen't matter if *most* of the planets are going to be around the same size, as long as there is a *chance* to have a big planet near a small one. And even of most of them will be "norma", there will be big differences between the big ones...

      As it is in the reality? Well, that's the point. Why only have either big or small planets with huge deviations from low to high, all of them having around the same height, while you can have both tiny and huge planets at the same time, even next to eachother!

      No, you're able to change the "sea level" and the deviations, but there is no way to have both dwarf and gigant planets in the same world, if I'm not mistaken. And heck if I found the command to reduce the core's size !
