Shootout rail lifts are only effective as Up and down (relative to gravity direction)movement options. They do not work well for horizontal movement. at least in a easy and intuitive sense.

Honestly it looks like none of the effects work atm. Its like the Mass Effect 3 endings in here. 3 colored hollow options.

I believe someone suggested this before to Schema. I think he said its not possible atm. Might have something to do with the fact that lights can be turned off and on with logic.
i had a similar idea a while ago but in stead of using the Astrotech system it was a completely new one called the Constructor system. It would also be a beam system.

just tested the cannons. Is the removal of the backward thrust recoil a feature or a bug? I didnt see it mentioned anywhere.

how many active activation modules do you have connected? You need 9 in order to make it spin continuously. 8 only makes it spin 360 once per pulse.
If you do have 9 and it still doesn't work then its very likely a bug.
