People are probably either fed up with it or waiting for the weapons or universe update. With how fast things are going the development of the universe update may start a couple (or 3) months from now.
iirc the current stick shops will be replaced with better ones. What shop did you attack? Was it the one at 2, 2, 2? It might be indestructible on purpose or you might not have strong enough weapons.

Ships with one reactor can be destroyed quickly if the enemy knows where to attack. A reactor failsafe chamber can fix this by switching to another reactor but it's still a single reactor and a single location to attack which could also have been destroyed earlier while the enemy was trying to...

I'm not sure but I think so unless that's not been implimented yet. If it has I think the stronger the tractor beam is it'll be easier to move more mass while single block beams can move large ships but it would be slower and easier to escape.
