TBH, I feel like this would help reduce lag as well, currently large faction home bases are incredibly crowded by entities, ships, turrets, and who knows what else. Allowing that to be spread out, and hopefully not all loaded at once would be great.

Overdrive is a terrible effect for large weapons. It needs six times the power for three times the damage, just build a bigger gun. In addition, single output weapons are terrible for block damage, so regardless of whether it's a missile or a beam, it's not actually going to kill a ship. As for...

So...you can't render the whole ship? Turn your draw segments up. In addition, you want a group rendering system? Sure it'd work with that ship, but it'd add complexity, and potentially cause more memory issues with ships that aren't just system bricks.

Here's a simple shootout rail clock. Just activate the activator to turn it on/off. Don't build/do much with it on, or have it under heavy lag, because it will break and it doesn't have pickup rails to fix itself.
