After placing the faction block you need to press 'R' on it to activate it and select the button to enter your faction signature. After that there will be another button in the faction block panel to claim the system for your faction. Once that is done you will get a bonus when mining shards...
If you're seeing a message about an Intel GPU, then I think the game is probably seeing an Intel GPU. You may need to use the Nvidia control panel to set javaw.exe to use the Nvidia GPU (if it works similarly to Optimus on a laptop), or configure your BIOS to use the card rather than the...
I believe he's referring to the PLAYER_MAX_BUILD_AREA setting in the server.cfg file, which determines the maximum value of the dimension sliders in advanced build mode (which you can access with the left Ctrl key).
Panpiper you already have that in the form of the small circle that serves as your targeter/pointer; that indicates the precise direction in which your aimed weapon will fire. If you miss because you or your target is moving, you'll have to account for that; a laser sight won't help. Another...
The particular error seems to be a problem locating a defined class, and is referencing one in the "fastutil" library. This article is rather verbose but seems to have some relevant information which may help. They key things that stood out to me are that the classpath given from the...
No, sorry (my Mac has been dead for some time, and was a much older version anyway). I'm not sure if this article might help or provide a pointer, particularly the second part. It might be safest to pursue the path angle, by explicitly invoking the newer Java executable to launch StarMade...
To clarify, it sounds like you accidentally pressed 'R' while flying away. The popup message is a safety measure to prevent you from accidentally exiting your ship while it flies away from you. If you hit OK then you exited and may have been shot by the pirates while outside your ship (and...
You can enable "Show Advanced Settings" in the launcher's Settings menu and use the "Vertical Synch" or "Limit FPS" options.
Alternatively, use the "Vert-Synch" or "Fix Framerate" items in the in-game options dialog.
Mariux are you sure you never see such an issue? I certainly have it and have seen evidence in numerous screenshots from others. The lighting issue affects corners and penta/tetra surfaces, and can be dependent on viewing direction. For example I have some corridors with the interior edges...
No problem. I believe that indicates you are actually running in windowed mode, and that it is simply not showing the border. A few lines above that in the file should be a line for G_FULLSCREEN which I'm guessing is set to false. You can also access both of these options in the launcher GUI...
You have to enable fullscreen mode also; simply setting the resolution does not automatically do this. If you have enabled it, it may help to attach the log.txt.0 file from the logs directory for analysis.
It sounds like you just maximized the window...? Fullscreen mode can be enabled in the launcher's "Starmade Connection Setup" dialog or in the in-game options. What resolution have you selected for the game, and what is your display's configured resolution?
Just be aware of the current bug "AI can shoot lock on missiles on radar jammed ships." I'd been wondering if the Alpha pirate station had lock-on missiles, as I got killed over 3km away more than once with no warning--with an active radar jammer.
I'm somewhat torn between "space is a...
I'd actually prefer it if they were visible only in build mode. Sometimes it isn't convenient to have logic right next to what it controls, or I want to have one circuit control multiple lights (or whatever) in sync. But often this means a connection pipe will be shown in some odd direction...
When you switch to the turret, you are "in" the turret same as if you had entered it from outside. You can also enter a turret and switch to the host ship's core; then if you exit the core it is just as if you had entered the core directly and exited it.
So I believe the answer is that you...
Couple of guesses:
Check your system's "accessibility" settings to see if you may have inadvertently enabled something which could trigger mouse clicks when the control key is pressed. (In Windows 7 this is now the "Ease of Access Center" control panel; not sure about other systems.)
Check...
