You'll be happy to know the bumper idea works out, which would help with the above plan. Granted there's no telling what way they'll end up going, but as long as the AI is on it'll find something to shoot at eventually.:D So adding an area trigger could work, although just having a logic clock...

Yeah that's a bit too much though, having to manually reconnect every single wifi block when reloading. Make sure that the wifi blocks are all on the replaceable rack instead of the main ship. You can tell a separate block on the main ship to goto the rack which then tells each drone. That way...

Sgtwisky Anytime, us Drone-gineers should stick together =) Hmm... from what it sounds like you're saying I have an older prototype or two that is VERY similar. Albeit without wireless logic. Have you seen my old Dune class ship or Scorpion launchers? They do almost exactly what you're...

As far as I've seen and tested so far... 1. No real difference, having advanced armor slows down some of the weaker shots, but alot of the time they'll be side swiped by missiles and the like. Which makes frontal only armor kind of moot. 1b. As for HP, I've upped my armor to standard to help...

Spectacular news gents! Drone tech continues to evolve over here at L.S.D. with our latest installment of goodies. The above is a solution to a problem I have had for some time now. Whenever I try to launch drones one at a time from a rail, the next in line always bumps and rams into the...

Ask and ye shall receive... Have fun with it, I dumped the full rotation cause it was bothersome to get it flush on the Savannah. =/ Another design, albeit smaller is in progress, or at least in the Que. As I'm trying to get beams working again, although they have become bugged. Quite...

The latter. Release, then collide. Was going to launch them more slowly with a slide-lock-slide mechanism... it was too fiddly and I couldn't get it to work quite right...[Read: damn thing wouldn't detach for w/e reason] The collision throws them out pretty quickly, although it's not really...

It's not terribly bad actually, there's a brief hiccup and then everything flies out quickly and settles down. Just try not to be in a large fire fight when using one of these. ;)

Not many new things being posted here lately so I think i'll share my latest launcher. It's a rotating drone rack with 120 drones on 4 panels. It's also modular and has the option of trading a few drones for 48 missile launchers! =)

Cannons > Beams right now. Possible fix.

Beams have always been finicky to me. On the one hand you're right, moving targets mean full damage is applied evenly across the outer shell of a surface. On the other hand though they are capable of doing things cannons just are not good at. Multiple hits means rapid delivery of several...

Update on the Savannah: Engines are done! New Turrets are looking sexy... So I can officially cross those two things off the list. Up next I'm going to do some work on the panels in the back as well as make a new Nano Drone to compliment the Phaser Flea TGX I have on there. Also those...

Some update photos of the Savannah... Angled photo showing the side turrets... The turrets are mounted on rotator cuffs allowing nearly 360 degree rotation. The new top of the Savannah, planning to add some lights to make it jump a bit. Engines, still a work in progress but the sides are...

When cruising through the depths of space we have encountered a strange and terribly nano-virus. This virus subsequently infected and demolished much of our systems. Thanks to the valiant sacrifice of our beloved plasma-brewery, the senior design team managed to escape with only a few minor...

Just thought I'd share my newest launcher. This particular prototype is being setup as part of a larger turret. So I will have my turret aim at the enemy and then I can launch my drones directly into their face. That or it'll be mounted along the back of my ship... which is less cool but...

I'll package up a simple drone launcher for you and have it up here in a few minutes. For the most part launchers are fairly simple mechanics that require less as opposed to more. I find whenever one of them does Not work, it's usually because something is too complicated or something is just...

Depending on how you design them most drones are fairly cheap. Only the weapon/effect computers are honestly expensive. The rest is cheap enough to be mass produced in spades. If you're really concerned with expenses then switch to cheaper materials, like metal mesh/grey hull instead of armor...

So my Drone R&D facilities have been spitting out ideas pretty consistently so far... some new things I've come up with below! A drone turret. Literally it's a turret mounting for any of my drones that turns the basic drone into a fully functional 360 degree ship turret. Up next I have...
